Infourthsemester,thecandidateswillhavetosubmitaResearchProjectreportonaproblem/topic(fromthe
specializationareas)tobeassignedbythedepartmentPGDMunderthesupervisionofacorefacultymember
ofthedepartment.Theresearchprojectreportwillcarry150marks.Theevaluationoftheprojectreportwillbe
donebytwoexternalexaminersandwillconsistof(1)Evaluationofprojectreport(100marks)(2)vivaon
Project(50marks).Theaverageofthemarksawardedbythe2examinerswillbetakenintoaccountforthe
results.Incasethedifferenceintheawardsgivenbytheexaminersis30ormoremarks,theprojectreportwill
bereferredtothethirdexaminer.Insuchcasestheaverageoftwocloserawards(givenbythreeexaminers)
willbetakenintoaccountfortheresults.
Thereportwillcontaintheobjectivesandscopeofthestudy.ResearchMethodology,use,importanceofthe
study,analysisofdatacollected,conclusionsandrecommendations.Itwillcontainrelevantcharts,diagrams
and bibliography. A certificate of the supervisor and the Head of the PGDM program certifying the
authenticityofthereportshallbeattachedtherewith.Thestudentwillsubmitthreecopiesofthereporttothe
HeadofPGDMprogram.Thenumberofpagesinthereportwillbe75ormore.Thereportshouldbetypedin
A4sizepaper.
