In case, your device is a dual SIM phone, make sure to select the service provider
to access the internet and follow the above steps.
How to access the internet on your PC through Android phones?
Accessing the internet through your Android phones can be done in two ways, one
is USB tethering while the other is via Wi-Fi hot spot. We will discuss both the
ways so that you can access the internet through any of the methods which seem to
be easier for you.
Via Wi-Fi Hotspot
Step 1 The first step is configuring the Wi-Fi hotspot in your Android
Smartphones or tablets
Step 2 In order to configure, go to the Settings tab in your Android devices
Step 3 Find Wireless & Networks option and then look for Tethering & portable
hotspot
Step 4 Here you will get the option of Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings
Step 5 Scroll the menu and search for Configure Wi-Fi hotspot. Now enter the
information Network SSID/router name, security level and password (8digits
only). Save it
Step 6 Now go to Settings option again and tap Tethering & portable hotspot.
Check whether Portable Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled or not
Step 7 Locate the Wi-Fi connection on your computer and establish a connection
Step 8 A small window will pop up where you need to enter the security key.
Now you are free to access the internet from your Android devices onto the PC.
USB Tethering
The next method to access the internet on your desktop is through USB
tethering. Follow the below steps for the same.
Step 1 Check for the Settings option in your Android devices
Step 2 In the menu, search for Wireless & Networks
Step 3 Then look for Tethering & portable hotspot
Step 4 Go to USB Tethering and enable it.
Step 5 Now search for the Android device on your PC
Step 6 Once the software is recognized, it has to be installed before it can be used
Step 7 After installation, the internet connection is established and can be
accessed on your PC
So both the methods are very easy and almost similar, therefore you can try any of
them as per your suitability. Hope you are able to access the internet on your
desktop without any difficulty.
Select your Android phone from the list and click "Next" to run the wizard and pair
your phone.
Step 6
Press the "Back" button, tap "More..." from the Wireless & Networks section and
select "Tethering & Portable Hotspot."
Step 7
Check "Bluetooth Tethering" to share your phone's Internet.
Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot
Step 1
Press "Home" and then "Menu."
Step 2
Touch "More..." from the Wireless & Networks section and tap "Tethering &
Portable Hotspot."
Step 3
Check "Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot." On some Android phones, this option is called
"Portable WLAN Hotspot."
Step 4
Tap "Configure Wi-Fi Hotspot" or "Configure WLAN Hotspot."
Step 5
Enter your preferred SSID network name, security mode and password in the
configuration screen. Tap "Save."
Step 6
Click the "Network" icon in the Windows 7 Notification area, select the SSID
name you chose on your phone, click "Connect" and enter the password to connect
to your phone's data plan.
Warnings
Using your phone's data plan could incur significant data fees if you go over
your allotted bandwidth.
