In addition to fighting crime and engaging the community in 2016, there are some
specific goals I have for our work at Central Station in 2016:
Resource Information
15
1. We will work to reduce our violent crime and property crime by at least 10%.
2. We are expanding our plainclothes team in an effort to continue our work in
capturing those responsible for crime.
3. We will continue our partnership with the Homeless Outreach Team and Human
Services agency to connect homeless individuals to important services.
4. I will be promoting the 4 Ps Pick Pocket Prevention Program. A partnership
with Supervisor Peskins Office and various Chinatown organizations to warn
potential victims of pick pocket suspects on Stockton Street.
5. We will celebrate the one year anniversary in February of having a team of
Housing Officers in the Ping Yuen Housing Development. We have much more
work to do in the Ping Yuen by partnering with the residents.
6. We will continue our work to engage the community including the youth of our
district. Police Officers provide mentorship to our young people. We will work
to expand our Social Media platform. (There are over 40 ways we engage
with the community at Central Station).
7. We will be starting the Case Follow Up Program. In most cases where an
Investigator is not immediately assigned, a volunteer at the station will call the
victim to check on them, answer any questions they may have and provide
follow up information. I will talk more about this in the weeks to come.

Page 2
Last, we will continue our work in all of the crime categories, both violent crime and property crime. We will
also work towards our Citys Vision Zero goal in reducing and eventually eliminating pedestrian fatalities
by our outreach efforts and enforcement. Our ultimate goal in 2016 is to work to make sure our residents,
visitors and merchants are safe in the Central Police District.
Monthly Community Meeting
On January 21, 2016 at 6:00 p.m., our monthly community meeting will be held at the Gateway
Apartments, 155 Jackson Street #2503. If you will be attending, please ring #261 for entry.
Lunar New Year Press Conference
Please join me for our annual Lunar New Year Press Conference which will be held on Friday, January 22,
2016 at Bush and Grant Streets. I will have more on this next week.
New Officers Arriving at Central Station
We welcome three new officers, Officers David Dito, Robert Ramirez and Gregory Foote who are
graduating the Academy tomorrow night and beginning in a week at Central Station.
Last.
As I conclude this weeks newsletter, the plainclothes team at Central Station this afternoon arrested one of
the most prolific theft suspects, who happens to reside in the district. He is responsible for a lot of theft. This
arrest should bring the thefts down this weekend!
