1. Course Description

Concepts and theories related to the elderly, nursing


therapeutics of the elderly in the normal, deviated and final stages of
life using the nursing process with emphasis on caring and family

participation, within legal limitations and professional code of ethics,

in order to maintain, promote and protect the physical, psychological,


social and spiritual health of individuals, groups, families, and
communities.
