1.OUR PHILOSOPHY

SaladBox is a healthy quick service restaurant chain that oers freshly made salads, cream soups, fresh juices, fruit salads,
etc.
When we talk about the business concept of Salad Box, we mostly refer to the healthy trend appeared on the market in the last
years. Even though the rst restaurants were opened in Romania precisely based on this trend, the scalability desire and plans
come from the global opportunities the trend is presenting.
The question is What does healthy eating mean? Nowadays, people tend to associate healthy eating with diet and regime, but
eating healthy actually means eating dishes which are varied and diversied in terms of ingredients.
And this is what Salad Box has to oer to its customers: health through the ingredients diversity at aordable prices. The range
of products is based on a variety of ingredients coming from dierent categories: vegetables, fruits, meat, sh, and dairy.
Another side of this trend is the fact it's also attracting other parties activating in what healthy lifestyle means. That's why the
business opportunities can be endless.

Accordingly, Salad Box wants its customers and potential customers to be aware of the fact we are not just selling some products,
but Salad Box is the place where you can eat healthy. As a consequence, it's a great starting point in having a healthy lifestyle.
That's why all the locations are designed in a manner that demonstrates freshness, natural and carefully prepared dishes on the
spot, in front of the customer.

honest with each other when giving feedback and we try to solve problems in an open and transparent manner.

2.COMPANY HISTORY

Salad Box started in 2012 when we decided to bring a new concept on the
Romanian market, the healthy food restaurant concept. The rst restaurant was
opened in Cluj-Napoca, the second largest city in Romania, and today the business
extended to 28 restaurants in 18 cities in Romania, plus restaurants in Hungary and
Germany.

3.OUR PRODUCTS

Salad Box oers 4 categories of products: salads, cream soups, desserts


and refreshments.
Salads features:
dierent predened recipes: Green Box, Caesar, Athena, Alaska, Toscana,
Boston, Dakota, Most Wanted
Combine your own salad the customer can choose from more than 40
ingredients and make his own combination
They are prepared on the spot, in front of the customer
Fresh and carefully chosen ingredients
Serving amount: between 400-440 grams
Products suitable for children also
Cream soups features:
dierent recipes: mixed vegetables, cauliower, broccoli, red lentils, green
lentils, peas, mushrooms, leek, beetroot, spinach, corn, salad, zucchini,
tomatoes
Serving amount: 350 ml
Some of the soups are very well suited for children also

- Dierent recipes: fruit salads, yogurt with muesli, yogurt with dried fruits

- Dierent recipes: orange juice, grapefruit juice, apple-carrot juice,

4.UNIQUE BENEFITS

When it comes to how competitive is Salad Box on the market, the degree is very high:

The customer has the possibility to see all the ingredients in front of him and choose as he wishes
The site concept is built in an unique way, so that the customer can see everything from processing the ingredients and preparing
the recipes to selling it increases the condence in the products
In-house built IT system. At least a part of the success that SaladBox enjoys is due to its own complex so ware system. The IT
department developed a complete so ware system adapted to the needs of the restaurant chain. It includes the Selling So ware,
the Administration So ware and the Data Analyser Server. The touch of any button on the selling system in one of the Salad Box
restaurants is registered in real time on the server and it is converted into analysis.
The development of this complex system facilitates the possibility to analyse the market and the sales (the best-selling products,
the best-selling hours, losses on raw materials, increases and decreases of the revenues, etc.).

5.TARGET AUDIENCE AND LOCATIONS


Most of our customers are women, representing approximately 70% of all customers.
They come from the corporate or IT areas, but also people who are interested in having a
healthy lifestyle.
Target locations
The Salad Box target locations are those in cities with large population where a large
range of the customers mentioned above are present.
Salad Box sites:
- Shopping malls, where it is almost a continuous ow of people
- Business centers, where we predominantly nd our customers
- Street / pedestrian busy traic areas, but close to oice locations
- Delivery location

6. INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION

Salad Box opened its rst restaurant abroad in November 2014, in Budapest, Hungary. The opening of the second
location in the same city took place in February 2015. It was followed by the third location opened abroad in
Heillbronn, Germany.
The idea of foreign market expansion developed out of the desire to show people that healthy eating is more than a
trend; it is a fact that people need to take into consideration. Nowadays, people's lives are getting more and more
active. Most of us have more than one job, plus families, plus extra activities. All these facts increase the importance of
time in our lives.
Therefore, our vision when opening restaurants in Hungary and Germany was the same: eating healthy at reasonable
prices whenever and wherever people want.
As a consequence, the company's goal is very simple: Salad Box to be the no. 1 company in Europe that provides
healthy food in a fast manner, at good prices, to as many people as possible.

8. APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process we propose you is very simple and we oer you continuous support in completing it:
Information meeting you receive general information about Salad Box chain and we answer you to general questions
Application Form it can be completed on website or sent on email
Interview we want to get to know you better, your background and your motivs for investing in Salad Box
Selection, Privacy Agreement Signed, Business Plan Fee deposit a er you are selected, you will need to sign a Privacy
Agreement and pay a symbolic fee in order to provide you all needed information for your new business plan*
Create your Salad Box Business Plan you will have a duration when you can create your Salad Box business plan based on the
information we gave you previously. During this time, someone from Salad Box will be assigned to you in order to oer you
consultancy and support.
Business plan review and nal selection
Signing the contract
*In order to realize the best business plan of your new Salad Box restaurant, we will send you all the information needed. This
information is condential, reason for which both parties will sign a Privacy Agreement before.
