Human Resource from

Mr. Sajids Viewpoint
According to Mr. Sajid, Human Resource practice in Bangladesh is better than it was
in the past. In the past, Human Resource role was concentrated to hiring, firing and
letter issuance-dispatching-filing stage. Now it has started to perform more than that.
Such as, employee motivation, employee development, employee retention, facilitates
organizational development initiatives etc. and thus contributes to the achievements of
the organizational goals. These value added job has just begun in Bangladesh. For a
good tomorrow, this is a starting point. Employers have started to understand the more
they invest in human resources the more output is likely to lead them to emphasis on
employee capability development. As such in many organizations, employee is
viewed as part of business plan. In these organizations, training budget is calculated as
a percentage of total budgets of the organization.

HR in next 20 years
according to Mr. Sajid
Predicting the future is as difficult as anything else said Mr. Sajid. With the fastest
development of technology he projects Human Resource lies in two areas,
Technology and Humanity. In future the overall Human Resource Management
practice is expected to be brighter in Bangladesh because more are feeling the
necessity of an established Human Resource department in the organizational
structure employer and employee is expected to improve, it will be part of HR
practices which will make HR actions, decision making process faster and accurate.
The reality is that todays workforce and the workforce of the future will be made up
at a diverse, complex collection of employees, all with different needs and
experiences. Human Resource professionals have to deal with this complex collection
of employees.

Managers
Recommendation to
Future Leaders
When we asked Mr. Sajids advice for future generation, he said, Professionalism is
the key to success. He defined professionalism as doing what your boss colleagues
and peers expect you to do as a manager and exceed their expectation. He also said,
Give yourself credit, respect and then forgive. Sometimes managers think more
about their failure than success. This is one of the biggest impediments to success. In
addition, to get respect from other one must respect himself or herself. Lastly, we
have to learn to forgive and let go in life to move forward to a better and brighter
future. Mr. Sajid suggested us to recognize our strengths and weaknesses. He said,
We have to play our strength and nurture our weaknesses.

be easy and smooth but dealing with top management is hard. He explains the reason
behind it, as different top managers have different opinions and objections which
sometimes are difficult to handle. As per him it is difficult to make every one satisfied
at the same time.

Human Resource from

Mr. Raiyans Viewpoint
Mr. Raiyan seems to be very optimistic about Human Resource in Bangladesh. He
considers that Human Resource is growing stronger every year but still as a manager
he thinks Industry lacks in qualified Human Resource professionals. He thinks the
importance of Human Resource in our country has grown to a lot higher place than it
was before. There was almost no practice of Human Resource in our country. He said
that companies are understanding the importance of Human Resource mostly the
Multinational Organizations. Once stakeholders come to know the importance and
significance of Human Resource, the demand for it will fly higher eventually.
Although in the job market today, Human Resource is valued as an important factor
but the expansion of it is yet not that much good when compared to other
departments.

According to Mr. Raiyan, one should show off to his co-workers and his seniors of
what one does in his profession. Like, publishing photos in different social media like
Facebook or Instragram or submitting a hard copy of the report to his Boss of his
achievements or tasks. What Mr. Raiyan does regularly is uploading photos of his
training session with the trainees and submits a report to his Boss as well. When we
asked him about the advantage of doing this particular activity he replied that

Visualization of ones work should be exposed so that everybody knows your
efficiency and appreciates as per.

Managers
Recommendation to
Future Leaders
For the students of varsity like us, Mr. Raiyan emphasized on studies more than
anything else because he thinks focusing on gaining proper knowledge on individuals
section of their study is more important than thinking about getting a job after
graduation. He also recommended for fresh graduates not to lure for jobs with
lucrative salary but to join any job one gets unless the designation is too bad. He
thinks job experience is more important because organizations prioritize job
experience in a candidate than good academic qualification.
