Syria
Although Syria has its own problems, they still find ways in gaining power and helping
others have equal share of power and equaling the unbalance of power in the world.
Over the past few years there has been this ongoing war in Israel between the Israelis and
the Palestinians over land. The UN news brought to my attention that it just keeps getting worse,
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is now entering uncharted territory as tensions between the two
sides escalate and an ever-widening trust deficit risks hampering future peace.(Israel) Where
did this all start? After the holocaust most of the jews had nowhere to go and they believe that
Israel was there holy place, so they set off to Israel. When the jewish refugees came to Israel the
palestinians were very upset, so they made an agreement of how many people could stay and
sent everyone else back on the boat to return where they came from. It just got worse from there.
More and more jews came and there was debate on whos land it was. The UN made a resolution
so that Israel was two states. The palestinians would live in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank
and the Israeli would get the rest of the land. It actually made things worse, there was a lot more
fighting and war. Eventually, Palestinians started to flee Israel, each and every day more and
more palestinians are becoming refugees and looking for refugee camps, leaving their homes and
some of their family member and never returning. The Israel and palestine situation will keep
going on until we find a solution that benefits both of them.

No one's viewpoint is ever the same as someone else's viewpoint. For the conflict in
Israel Syrias perspective is very interesting. Syria believes that Palestinians should have the
right of return. Syria has been one of the neighboring countries to allow refugees to come stay in
their refugee camps. Ninety thousand Palestinian refugees have fled to Syria in 1948 and since
then hundred thousands refugees come to Syria for a home. Syria has armed, financed, and
protected the remains palestinians in the Gaza strip. In the article Syrias civil war, Assad and the
palestines by International Policy Digest opened my eyes to see that not only Syria has helped
the Palestinians, but the Palestinians has also helped the Syrians, Palestinians have fought in
Syria on behalf of both the regime and the rebels. Both sides have helped each other and both
plan on trying to help each other or at least as long as they can.
As part of the United Nations I believe that we should be focusing more on helping the
Palestinian side then the Israeli side. I think that we should allow the palestinians the right of
return. The Palestinians have been pushed into tough living conditions, where they have to walk
to get water and wash their clothes in salt water tubs, no one should live like that especially when
they were first ones to be in Israel, before the Israelis. So many Palestinians have been forced
out of there homes and into neighboring countries, they shouldn't have even been forced out in
the first place because it was Israel's country to begin with, it was the Palestinians. Me and my
allies think that it would be best for everyone if there was a creation of a Palestinian state instead
of trying to split the country in half for a solution(Iran). We have tried making a two state
solution and Israel just slowly pushed the Palestinians out. What makes you think that they won't
try to do it again and by putting more sanctions on the West Bank and Gaza is just making things
worse, economically for the Palestines. To conclude, I, Syria believe that we should lift the
sanctions of the West Bank and give the Palestinians the right of return back into Israel.
