1 What's New in the SAP Cloud Applications

Studio

This document provides information about what is new in the SAP Cloud Applications Studio version 1511 (November
2015).
This documentation covers the SAP Cloud Applications Studio (studio) as a whole; therefore it describes
all features that are available within the studio. Not all of these features are available for every cloud
solution from SAP. Before using a particular feature, please consult the Feature Matrix to determine
whether the feature is available for the cloud solution from SAP for which you are creating your solution.
For details, see Feature Matrix.
Any software coding or code lines/strings (Code) provided in this documentation are only examples
and are not intended for use in a productive system environment. The Code is only intended to better
explain and visualize the syntax and phrasing rules for certain SAP coding. SAP does not warrant the
correctness or completeness of the Code provided herein and SAP shall not be liable for errors or damages
cause by use of the Code, except where such damages were caused by SAP with intent or with gross
negligence.

What Is New in All Cloud Solutions

In version 1511 of the SAP Cloud Applications Studio, the following features are new:

Automated Distribution of Solution

You can now restart automated distributions of solutions from any tenant in the same system where an
outdated version exists. The Automated Distribution button retriggers the automatic upload and activation
of the solution in tenants where deployment has been unsuccessful. For more information, see
Implementation Manager Quick Guide.

Enable Assembly Split

You now have the option of splitting the activate, assemble, and download actions for your solution before
uploading it to another tenant. This allows the functions activate and assemble to run as background
processes as compared to the existing Assemble and Download front-end process. For more information, see
Implementation Manager Quick Guide.

Node Extensions in Analytics

You can now create new nodes on a standard business object through extension business objects. This allows
you to choose these extension nodes in analytical reports, data source, combined data source, joined data
source, and key figures.

New Context Reuse Library Functions

Two new functions have been added to the context reuse library:

Context.IsProductionTenant

Context.IsPatchSolution

For more information, see Context (Reuse Library).
