BURGLARY NIGHTTIME
5900 block of Block house Road, on January 27, 2016, between12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.,
someone broke into the residence, ransacked it, and took a laptop computer, an IPad
Mini, a Samsung Nexus, a Kindle Fire HD, jewelry, a credit card, and medications. Prior
to the burglary being found by the resident, a traffic stop was made on a vehicle. In the
vehicle were the items taken from residence of this victim. Deputies found a possible
victim and went to residence. In the meantime the victim arrived home and called the
Sheriffs Office and met with deputies. The property was identified and returned to the
victim.

BREAKING AND ENTERING NIGHTTIME -GRANINGERS II MHP
11400 block of Wedman Court, on January 27, 2016, between 7:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m.,
someone broke into the locked residence and stole a black analog watch valued at
$125.00, 2 gold chains valued at $500.00, a gold cross, a Samsung Tablet valued at
$325.00.

BREAKING AND ENTERING-TIME UNKNOWN
China Wong Restaurant, 6340 Jefferson Davis Highway, between January 30, 11:00 p.m.,
and January 31, 2016, 11:30AM, someone broke a door, entered and stole $400.00 from
the register and the money from a tip can. Damage to the door is $300.00.

BREAKING AND ENTERING DAYTIME
12600 block of Chewning Lane, on February 2, 2016, between 3:14 p.m. and 7:13 p.m.,
Someone entered the residence and ransacked it. Missing is a gray pearl necklace,
valued at $400.00, a silver womens Ebel watch, valued at $1,000.00, three pairs of
earrings valued at $300.00, miscellaneous pieces of blue sapphire jewelry, a silver
Tiffanys bracelet with a heart charm, and valued at $300.00, and $750.00 in cash.

GRAND LARCENY FROM A PERSON
Exxon Service Station, 5409 Jefferson Davis Highway, on January 27, 2016, between
6:00 p.m. and 6:05 p.m., the victim stopped to make a purchase, and while paying, placed
a $500.00 Samsung Galaxy S6 on the counter and then left the store. The victim returned a
few minutes later, and the phone was not there.

GRAND LARCENY FROM AN AUTOMOBILE-LEES HILL~COMMERCIAL CENTER
Fairfield Inn, 10330 Spotsylvania Avenue, on January 27, 2016 between 9:04 a.m. and
10:00 a.m., someone entered the victims black 2003 Lincoln Navigator, and stole a .22
caliber Ruger Mark III, that was in the gun box and the box was in a green trim canvass
bag. Also taken were 2 magazines valued at $40.00, and approximately 400 rounds of
.22 caliber bullets valued at $150.00. The firearm is valued at $400.00.

GRAND LARCENY SHOPLIFT
Victorias Secret, 3102 Plank Road, on January 30, 2016, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:40
p.m., someone stole 60 bras of various sizes and styles. They are valued at about
$3,500.00.

PETIT LARCENY FROM BUILDING-VILLAGES OF SALEM STATION
11100 block of Elwyn Court, between January 22, 12:01 a.m., and January 29, 2016, 4:30
p.m., someone entered the tenants unlocked shed and stole a black and yellow Bolen
gas trimmer; it is valued at $90.00.

PETIT LARCENY SHOPLIFT
CVS Pharmacy, 10000 Jefferson Davis Highway, on January 27, 2016, between 12:05 p.m. and
12:17 p.m., a white male entered the store and went to the soap isle and took a container of
Dove, deep moisture body wash, valued at $8.50, put it in a pant pocket, and left the store
without paying. He is 6, approximately 200 lbs., bald, wearing jeans, a shirt, and sun glasses.

PETIT LARCENY SHOPLIFT-SOUTHPOINT INDUSTRIAL PARK
Wal-Mart, 10001 Southpoint Parkway, between January 31, 11:00 p.m., and January 1,
2016, 7:56 p.m., a store employee observed a female conceal a Verizon Phone card,
valued at $60.00, while in the check-out line. The suspect is black, 5-4 to 56, 180 to
200 lbs., the hair was made up in an ornate fashion, and was wearing a black jacket, and
blue jeans.

PETIT LARCENY SHOPLIFT
Fas Mart, 3530 Bragg Road, on January 31, 2016, between 2:32 a.m. and 3:20 a.m., a
male entered the store and took an 18-pak if Miller Lite bottles of beer, and exited
without paying. The male was wearing a black hoodie. He is believed to be white. The
value of the beer is $12.49.

PETIT LARCENY SHOPLIFT
Macys, 3102 Plank Road, on February 2, 2016, between 12:34 p.m. and 1:04 p.m., a
black male, 20 to 30 years, took a Michael Koors tie from a display and put it in a pocket,
then exited the store without paying for it. A store agent followed him and lost sight of
him inside the mall. The tie is valued at $65.00.

PETIT LARCENY FROM AN AUTOMOBILE-HIGHLAND PARK
7700 block of Stockwell Drive, on January 30, 2016, between 8:00 a.m. and 12:05 p.m.,
someone stole the front license plate from the victims green 2002 Ford Explorer.
Registration value is $48.00.

10400 block of Tall Timber Lane, on January 31, 2016, between 6:06 p.m. and 7:09 p.m.,
unknown person attempted to use the victims Union Bank and Trust credit card in
Georgia.

FRAUD CREDIT CARD-FALCON RIDGE
11900 block of Hunting Ridge Drive, on January 28, 2016, between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00
p.m., someone used the victims card account to charge $332.22. The financial
institution is unknown.

FRAUD
3100 block of Massaponax Church Road, on January 29, 2016, between 1:00 p.m. and
4:00 p.m., the victim received a call from a male representing the Publishers Clearing
House, and informed the victim of winning $4 million, and a car, and said the victims
name was submitted by Wal-Mart. The victim had only to pay the taxes. The victim
sent a total of $293.98. The victim was told that the money would be delivered in 30
minutes after receiving the taxes. The delivery has not been made.

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY-CLAIBORNE PLANTATION
4000 block of Claiborne Plantation Way, on January 31, 2016, between 4:31 p.m. and
5:41 p.m., the victim was standing on the driveway when the victim heard an object pass nearby.
Upon checking the victim found a metal .40 caliber round of ammunition on the ground.
It is not known where it round was fired from.

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY VANDALISM
Exxon Station, 5123 Mudd Tavern Road, Three males entered the station and one wanted
to purchase cigarettes. He did not produce identification and the cashier refused to sell.
The male threw a box of cigars on the floor, knocked chips off the shelf, and pushed
another shelf causing the merchandise to fall on the floor. The other males grabbed him
and took him outside. The boarded a silver Elantra that was displaying Washington, D.C.
registration, and left. No products were lost or damaged.

VANDALISM-LANCASTER GATE
4400 block of Wexham Court, on January 30, 2016, between 4:05 p.m. and 4:35 p.m.,
two nearby vehicles were vandalized. Someone entered the unlocked blue Ford F-150
and nothing was taken. The other unlocked vehicle, a 2013 Honda Civic, was entered
and nothing was taken.

VANDALISM-W M ROGERS APARTMENTS
8100 block of Pool Drive, between January 29, 4:00 p.m. and February 1, 2016, 8:00AM,
someone fired a BB gun at a light pole cover causing it to crack and fall to the ground.
Value of the cover is $25.00.

11000 block of Huntington Woods Circle, between January 21, 1:00 p.m., and January
29, 2016 1:43 p.m., someone broke the rear sliding glass door of the residence. The
house is vacant and entry was not made, and nothing was reported missing. Property
value is $500.00.

2200 block of Country Road, between January 28, 8:00 p.m. and January 29, 2016, 7:00
a.m. someone slashed the two tires of the victims black 2005 Ford Explorer. The tires
are Michelin Cross Terrain P235/70R16, and are valued at $200.00 each.

Movie Gallery, 4131 Plank Road, on February 1, 2016, between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
someone broke the right side window of the 2014 Honda. Property value is $1,000.00.

Spotsylvania County Crime Solvers


From January 2008 through December 2015, the Spotsylvania
County Crime Solvers has paid out $40,555 in CASH REWARDS for
information through 1,501 calls to the Crime Solvers telephone tip
line, Crime Solvers Web Tip page and the Text-A-Tip phone number.
Information obtained has resulted in 167 arrests involving burglaries,
drug distribution, arson, vandalism, breaking & entering and other
crimes against the citizens of Spotsylvania County.
To date there has been $151,432 worth of stolen property recovered,
and property and assorted types of drugs seized. Since June 2010 to
present 41 Wanted Fugitives have been arrested and are now facing
their charges.
