Good morning ladies,
Please use the following, which has previously been reviewed and approved by
Greg, to address the outreach portion of the tasker:

To obtain public input on our draft environmental documents, public open houses
were advertised to the public and held in McAllen, Brownsville, Rio Grande City,
Marfa, and Del Rio, Texas. In addition to the 5 meetings already held, a public
open house will be scheduled in El Paso, Texas, once the draft environmental
assessment for that Border Patrol Sector is released.

In addition, we have contacted almost 500 individual landowners in Texas. Town

hall meetings – which were advertised to the public and included an opportunity
for dialogue – were held in Fort Hancock, El Cenizo, Zapata, Laredo, Cotulla,
and Hebbronville, Texas. In addition to the town halls, 11 other meetings were
held with public groups, including landowners and members of the community in
Weslaco, Harlingen, Mercedes, Brownsville, Marfa, McAllen, Eagle Pass, and Del
Rio, Texas. We have also held 27 meetings with state and local officials
including city councils and council members; local utilities representatives;
Tribes; universities; law enforcement, including Chiefs of Police; representatives
from wildlife refuges; mayors; city managers; and county commissioners,
delegates, and judges.

Also, attached are Hidalgo Levees Talking Points.

Thanks much,
E
