General
Project Description
The project involves provision of drawing water from the canal for Phase II at about
75 m away from existing RWPH of Phase I . Adequate size sluice gate shall be
installed at the location and link channel/canal of adequate size shall be constructed
up to the location of proposed RWPH of Phase II. Similar provision for dual pumping
shall be installed for pumping water either from canal of RWR to WTP inlet and
pumping water to RWR.
RWR of capacity 5310 ML shall be constructed besides existing RWR of Phase I with
provision of interconnection of both RWR to facilitate drawal of water from either
RWR to any of the RWPH. FSL of both the RWR shall be kept same. Single pipeline of
1900 mm MS with internal CML and external 3 LP tape coating shall be provided for
pumping and drawal of water between RWPH and RWR.
Fully automatic Water Treatment Plant of latest technology shall be constructed in
modular design to facilitate future extension to 300 MLD.
In brief the project work involves one stretch of Link Canal, one Raw Water Pumping
Station, one Raw Water Reservoir, one Water Treatment Plant, one CWR, one Clear
Water Pumping Stations, all interconnecting piping and one stretch of Transmission
line with their functions as described above. These major components and the
Transmission Pipe Lines are listed as under:
(a) Raw Water Pumping Station including branch canal from the Link Canal and
