K– knit K2tog – knit two stitches
P- purl together
sts- stitches Rnd- round
dpn – double-pointed PM – place marker
needles LC2 – left cross (See
M1- make 1 increase Notes)
yo – yarn over Rep – repeat
SM – slip marker
ssk – slip knitwise, slip knitwise,
knit two stitches together
Stitch Notes:
LC2 (Left Cross, worked over 2 stitches)
Knit into the back of the second stitch on left needle, knit into
the front of the first stitch, then slip both stitches off the
needle.

Cast on 95 sts
Rnd 1: Purl
Rnd 2-3: P1, *K2, P1, K1, P1; Rep from * to last 4 sts, K2, P1, K1
Rnd 4: P1, *LC2, P1, K1, P1; Rep from * to last 4 sts, LC2, P1, K1
Rnd 5-7: Rep Rnd 2
Rnd 8: Rep Rnd 4
Rnd 9-12: Rep Rnd 5-8, M1
Rnd 13: *K2, M1; Rep from * (Total of 144 sts)
Knit every round until measures 4 inches from cast on.
Finishing
Cut 8-inch tail. Using yarn/tapestry needle, thread yarn though
remaining stitches twice, pull to tighten. Weave in ends or
embellish with button or bead. Lightly block.
