Humans survive on three basic necessities - Food Water Shelter.

Food and Water are supplied by nature, and Shelter is created.
What we choose to do with these creations are left to us, based
on the analysis of our surroundings and the relationships of
spaces; As well as the Code, Budget and Time Constraints.

Prairie Style
Monterey, California
public library
As a homage to one of the most prolific American architects of the late 19th - early 20th century,
this design exhibits all the characteristics of Frank Lloyd Wrights prairie school : Long, horizontal
lines, windows grouped in horizontal bands, and hipped roofs with broad overhanging eaves. A floor
plan that is designed to integrate with nature is accomplished by extending the spaces out
to be as much surrounded by nature as possible.

Toledo Museum of Art

Toledo, Ohio
Multi-use Pavilion
The design set forth aims to replace the Grove Place Studio site with a New, Four story Multi-use building with
a strong connection to the existing Toledo Museum of Modern Art. The spaces and adjacencies planned out in
the design aims to distinguish public space from private space. The following design incorporates the use of
proportion as well as Le Corbusiers Five Points of Architecture. In an effort to repate the proposed building
with the museum, a major component used in the design is the golden ratio. It is used as a homage to Classical
Greek architecture, as the Neoclassical museum derived itself from a Greek revival.

Super 8 Motel
1343 S Center Rd
Flint Township, MI 45089
In the wake of new ownership of a Super 8 Motel, I am commissioned to redesign the existing lobby in the fashion
suited to the new owners. In first meeting the client, I asked what was the program needed in the redesign of the
proposal. A larger cafe, private managerial office, and improved visibility and circulation within the lobby in
in terms of both the customer and the clerk. After considering the program, aesthetics was discussed as a
major factor in the renovation. The client requested the use of various materials to create a setting of higher
standards for the business.

After meeting with and understanding

the needs of the client, measurements were
taken through a traditional method of
Analogue to digital. In order to create
the drawings and proposal, I must first
get a sense of position in the program on
a two dimensional scale.

This course introduces the student to design

issues for good site planning process principles
and methods. The course addresses the issues
related to site engineering such as grading,
drainage, circulation, road alignment, and
