Q1

This April 5th there will be a Democratic

primary election in Wisconsin for President and
other important offices. How likely would you
say you are to vote in the Democratic primary
in Wisconsin: are you certain to vote, will you
probably vote, are the chances 50/50, or will
you probably not vote?

Q2

The Democratic candidates for President are

Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. If the
election was today, who would you vote for?

Q3

Enbridge, a Canadian energy company, wants

to expand its tar sands crude oil pipeline
capacity in Wisconsin. Their plan will increase
the amount of tar sands crude oil flowing
through Wisconsin to 1.2 million barrels per
day more even than what would have gone
through the Keystone XL Pipeline. Based on
what you know, would you say you support or
oppose this expansion of tar sands crude oil
pipelines in Wisconsin?

(Among those who oppose tar sands pipelines)

Of the following list of choices, what is the main
reason you oppose the expansion of tar sands
oil pipelines in Wisconsin: because of the risk
of spills that harm our water, because it
requires the use of eminent domain for private
gain, because tar sands oil causes climate
change, a failure to properly evaluate the
pipeline by state and federal government,
because you see it as a violation of indigenous
lands and treaty rights, or something else?

Something else ............................................... 6%

Q5

Some say it's only fair for an expansion of the

tar sands pipelines to go through the same
level of oversight as the Keystone XL pipeline
did. Others say that the approval process
doesn't need to be as thorough as it was for
Keystone. Would you be more or less likely to
support a candidate who supports holding
Enbridge to the same level of environmental
and safety reviews that the Keystone XL
pipeline went through, or would it not make a
difference?

Recently TransCanada, the company behind

the Keystone XL pipeline sued U.S. taxpayers
for more than $15 billion under the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Enbridge could do the same if its plan to move
more tar sands through Wisconsin is turned
back. The proposed Trans-Pacific Partnership
(TPP), would give foreign companies like
Enbridge the right to sue Wisconsin and other
states too. Based on what you know, would
you say you support or oppose trade
agreements like the Trans-Pacific Partnership
that give broad new rights for foreign
corporations to challenge government
