LET ME LOVE YOU

Teenage nights, tickets stubs
Cinema lines, catching the bus
Waiting underneath streets lights
The sky was gold, the moon was low
We were higher, summer good bye
Something bout the two of us
Maybe it was only time
Until our stars aligned
Let me love you
Now i know what love is for
I dont need to search no more
Ive never ever felt so sure
Now i know what love is for
Last thing i heard youre traveling now
Seeing the world, not touching the ground
I saw you in a photograph
I never said what i needed to say
I left it till late and you slipped away
Some bonfires dont burn out
There were flames through the roof
When you walked in the room
So let me love you
Now i know what love is for
I dont need to search no more
Ive never ever felt so sure
So let me love you
Shouldve told you long before
Now i know what love is for
So let me love you
Now i know what love is for
I dont need to search no more
Ive never ever felt so sure
Yeah, let me love you
Ive never known a love before
Ive never ever felt so sure
Shouldve told you long before
Now i know what love, love is for
Teenage nights tickets stubs
Cinema lines, catching the bus
Something bout the two of us

AS LONG AS
WERE IN LOVE
Well climb a mountain, well put a flag down
Well start a dream and see what it becomes
From sticks and stones, yeah, well build a fortress
No one can touch us as long as were in love
Well rule the thunder, capture the lightning
Command the ocean underneath the sun
As long as I live, breathe out and breathe in
No one can touch us as long as were in love
Everyone tells us its just a feeling
But they dont know us, what we believe in
Its more than three words we keep repeating
From the top of our lungs, as long as were in love
Strong as the concrete, soft as the green fields
Sure as the rain into the river runs
Two faithful lovers, one single heartbeat
No one can touch us as long as were in love
Everyone tells us its just a feeling
But they dont know us, what we believe in
Its more than three words we keep repeating
From the top of our lungs, as long as were in love
You always will be my one and only
Long after everything has turned back into dust
Well still be falling, well still be standing
No one can touch us as long as were in love
No one can touch us as long as were in love

B R E AT H E
They Built these walls around me
so they never see me fall
A Boy made of stone
I was unbreakable
How was it you found me?
broken branch amongst the trees
Even at my darkest you still wanted me
Lost or Found
Now i can Breathe
You open up my eyes I see.
You are the everything I need.
All this time I was lost
You finally found me.
If I could tell the younger,
naive version of myself
Theres nothing I could tell you
that you dont know yourself
The wheels are always turning
Hearts are always
lost or found
Now i can Breathe
You open up my eyes I see.
You are the everything I need.
All this time I was lost
You finally found me.
Running at the speed of light
I wanted to protect myself and hide away,
You helped me to shed the past
Now I dont have to ask if I am lost or found,
Ive found my ground
Now I can Breathe
You open up my eyes I see
You are the everything I need
All this time I was lost.
You finally found me.
Oh you found me, Im not lost anymore,
You finally found me

SHE KHOWS ME
I have sung a thousand love songs
Never understood what I said
Its not to say they were not good songs
I just didnt know what love meant then
I guess at times its not been easy
To hide behind a thousand eyes
That were blind but now can see me
For the man I always knew I was
Let it rain on me, with you I need no shelter
I have all I need, protect us from whatever
May come to be, when Im tired of guessing
She knows, she knows me
I have been so many places
But none Ive truly ever seen
I was just packing empty cases
Others carried around for me
Theres a lighthouse in the fog
Shining brightly for us all
When you see the light
You gotta be willing, to fall to fall
Let it rain on me, with you I need no shelter
I have all I need, protect us from whatever
May come to be, when Im tired of guessing
She knows, she knows me
She knows me

TIME OF MY LIFE
I walk so close to your side
I go blind in your shadow
We are so happy we could die
Living in a dream world
I wake up, youre the sunlight in my head
Close my eyes its you again
Baby let me recklessly love you
I wanna be a perfect crime
All these hours they think that were wasting
Will never be a waste of time
This is the time of my life
This is the time of my life
We did bad things for our own good
I know it all makes sense
Wrong moves in the right direction
Being cautious is no defense
I wake up, youre the rhythm in my head
I close my eyes its you again
Baby let me recklessly love you
I wanna be a perfect man
All these hours they think that were wasting
Will never be a waste of time
This is the time of my life
This is the time of my life
Never have to say youre sorry
Its always gonna be all right
Everything weve done or said
Doesnt have to hang around and haunt us
Baby let me recklessly love you
I wanna be a perfect man
All these hours they think that were wasting
Will never be a waste of time
This is the time of my life
This is the time of my life
This is the time of our lives

IN YOUR ARMS
There were always signs of you
Hidden in clear view
Saw pieces of you scattered across the landscape of my life
Your eyes belong to fragments of nostalgia
Your hands and your smile too
Though every part of you is new
There was only ever you
In your arms, in your arms
I will wait oh I will wait
In your arms, in your arms
I will stay oh I will stay
Did you look away
Or did you try to hide your face
In broken photographs of passing glances
Out of time
Wish I had never known a life without you
Lets re-write this book anew.
And every page that I read through
Is a new memory of you.
In your arms, in your arms
I will wait oh I will wait
In your arms, in your arms
I will stay oh I will stay
In your arms, in your arms
I will wait oh I will wait
In your arms, in your arms
I will stay oh I will stay
Will stay.

LANDSLIDE
Theres no rain above us, the sky is perfect blue
Couldnt find a better day now, oh to fall in love with you
I just cant wait to see you, theres nothing that i fear
Butterfly just whispered, oh the ones we miss are near
Now I know I, followed the signs right
Youre the perfect moment, I get to live the rest of my life
Now I know why, there was a landslide
All the roads are open, now I get to call you my wife
See fairytales are real life
Loved ones all around us, but your eyes are all I see
Kids are smiling through the tears, will you spend your life with me
Theres nothing that Im missing, oh cos everything is here
Sharing my life with you, I cant wait for all the years
Now I know I, followed the signs right
Youre the perfect moment, I get to live the rest of my life
Now I know why, there was a landslide
All the roads are open, now I get to call you my wife
See fairytales are real life
So I, followed the signs right
Youre the perfect moment, I get to live the rest of my life
Now I know why, there was a landslide
All our roads are open, now I get to call you my wife
See fairytales are real life

KEEP IT SIMPLE
Coming down, coming down from all the high places
Hit the ground so hard, forgot my name
A long way down
Fallen out, Ive fallen out with the friends that I borrowed,
Calling out, shouting out from the well of my sorrow
A long way down,
I was a long way down
I just want to be your man
I dont want another love,
Youre the one that helped me stand
when I thought about giving up,
I just want to be your man
I dont want nothing else
So lets keep it simple
I was strong, so strong that the only one breaking
Moving on, long gone cause my heart was waiting
For the one
For the one
I just want to be your man,
I dont want another love,
Youre the one that helped me stand
when I thought about giving up.
Ill walk with you, take your hand
I dont want nothing else
So lets keep it simple
Keep it simple
When I see you smile
Its through the eyes of a child
No bitterness surrounds me
This innocence inside
Is what keeps me alive
The simple things remind me
I just wanna be your man,
I dont want another love,
Youre the one that helped me stand
when I thought about giving up.
I just wanna be your man
I dont want nothing else
So lets keep it simple
Keep it simple
Keep it simple, keep it simple.

DONT THINK REMEMBER

I will always go back to the side of the bay
Where the nights never seemed as long as the day
The Dog-Collared army we trembled before
Those spires dont look so tall anymore
Dad was always driving Top of the road
Mums in the doorway still thanking the Lord
Green birds took them to the land of the free
When they were gone it was all up to me
These city lights dont shine like you say
The green green grass is all turning to grey
You made this boy golden then turned him to stone
This is my home
You think I dont remember but I do, but I do
You think I dont remember but I do, yeah I do
No-one saw it coming till it was too late
But it was the young that would carry the weight
Shook hands with the mighty for better or worse
Some times a blessing, sometimes a curse
Heres to my journey I know who I am
As much as we fought that was never the plan
Im not the first and wont be the last
Take it back to the grove and well all raise a glass
You
You
You
You

think
think
think
think

I
I
I
I

dont
dont
dont
dont

remember but I do, but I do

remember but I do, but I do
remember, you think I dont remember but I do
remember, you think I dont remember but I do

I will always go back to the side of the bay

Where the nights never seemed as long as the day

SHINE LIVE GOLD

Grab youre coat were taking off
Run the reds cause we dont stop for lights, for lights,
dashboard drumming out of time
the come get me thats hidden in her smile, her smile
And og, I know, Im never gonna let you go,
cause baby we shine like gold
And we can love like, nothing has ever felt so right
dancing around in the headlight
Staying up talking the whole damn night
We shine like gold, we shine like gold
Golden skin entangled sheets
talking s**t until we fall asleep, were falling deep
loving like a hurricane lay it down and drink away the days, for days
And oh, I know Im never gonna let you go,
cause baby we shine like gold
And we can love like, nothing has ever felt so right
dancing around in the headlight
staying up talking the whole damn night
We shine like gold, we shine like gold
We need to love like, sharing kicks around midnight
throwing shapes in the sunrise
chasing the shadows the whole damn night
We shine like gold, we shine like gold
If the rains come and the waters at our knees
well hold our breath and learn how to swim
and if the light go out and the darkness closes in
well shine like gold, we shine like gold, we shine like gold
And we can love like nothing has ever felt so right
dancing around in the headlight
staying up talking the whole damn night
We shine like gold, we shine like gold
We need to love like, sharing kiss around midnight
throwing shapes in the sunrise
chasing the shadows the whole damn night
We shine like gold, we shine like gold
We shine like gold, we shine like gold, we shine like gold

GROW OLD WITH ME

Growing, something we all do
And I would just love to, grow old with you
Fighting, something we all do
And I would just love to, make up with you
All of the moments that no one else sees
These are the things that link you to me
We could live longer and sail the seas
If you could just only, grow old with me
Senses, are things that we all know
And Ill always follow, the sixth one to you
Caring, something that I know
And youre flying so low, its all I can do
All of the moments that no one else sees
These are the things that link you to me
We could live longer and sail the seas
If you could just only, grow old with me
Grow old with me, grow old with me, grow old with me
Keep it simple, keep it simple.

FEATURING THE SHIRES

I dont know you, but I want you

All the more for that
Words fall through me and always fool me
And I cant react
And games that never amount
To more than theyre meant
Will play themselves out
Take this sinking boat and point it home
Weve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
Youve made it now
Falling slowly, eyes that know me
And I cant go back
The moods that take me and erase me
And Im painted black
You have suffered enough
And warred with yourself
Its time that you won
Take this sinking boat and point it home
Weve still got time
Raise your hopeful voice, you have a choice
Youve made it now
Falling slowly, sing your melody
Ill sing it loud
Falling slowly, falling slowly, falling slowly
Take it all, I paid the cost too late, now youre gone

After 22 years of making music, I think Ive surprised myself a little when it comes to this album. Ive really taken my time with it,enjoyed the process, and been
completely unaffected by whats expected of me from anyone else. Its the first time Ive had the confidence to say exactly what I wanted to say - not what I should
say, or what I think people want to hear. its the most honest album Ive ever written and Ive never been prouder of the results. For me, this album is like an autobiography
of who I am but told with music. And although Im already 38 years old... it really is just the first chapter because it took me 38 years and a good
woman to finally find my footing. To finally find me.
Over the last number of years everything in my life has shifted from what was to what should be... and although it was scary, my Mom held my hand the whole
way and in some ways I think shes even responsible. Mom I love you and youre never forgotten. I miss you every single day and thank you from the bottom of
my heart for guiding me from above to a place where Im happier than I have ever been.
Thank you also to my incredible team at decca records who gave me the freedom to create the music Ive always aspired to make. From the very start youve been
nothing but enthusiastic and supportive and it has been such a pleasure creating this album with you. Also, to my dear friend and loyal manager, Mark plunkett,
who believed in my vision and helped me make it a reality. I know youd go to war for me and words cant describe how much I value everything that you do.
The same can be said to my amazing team: Barrie, Lord 8, Joqui, sam, sarah, shelina, dave, Glin, all at solo, seven dials and the shams. Working with you all
is always a pleasure - youre the best in the business.
To my very talented friend, dan healy, who spent endless hours over the last 12 months cooped up in the house writing with me. I couldnt have done it
without you pal and I hope its just the start of many years of writing good music together. This is an album we should both be proud of. To my producers steve
Lipson and peter vitesse, youre both legends - thank you for bearing with me and helping this album came to life in the way I had always hoped it would.
My family are everything to me and your love is undivided. Over the last few years weve become closer than ever and this bond contributes to my happiness
today and the optimism in my music. Thank you for staying the course even when sometimes other people got in the way. My heart has never wavered and l will
always love you. And to my second family... my friends. The real ones know who they are and they have been with me through thick and thin. lts when life throws
curve balls that you learn who your true friends really are and Im humbled by your genuine kindness and loyalty. Theres not a day I take it for granted, thank you.
To my three incredible kids Jack, Missy and Ali. Every day you warm my heart and remind me why I keep fighting. Theres nothing in the world that can divide us
and I will always have your back, no matter what. I love you with every little piece of my heart and you make me a very proud man. When I grow up I want to
be just like you! Also cant forget my little furry baby, Aussie, who has sat at my feet for hours while I strummed my guitar and put this album together. My biggest
& most patient fan.
And finally to my beautiful wife and best friend, storm. You are the one that truly loved me and gave me a sense of who I really am and what Im capable of.
Without your belief and constant support - encouraging me to think bigger and push myself to new levels, I would not be here today and would never have made
this album. You are the most inspiring person I have ever met and your warmth and genuine love has given me a strength I have never known. My Mother once
said to me that all you touch will turn to gold but now I know she was talking about you because now it feels like it does. Thank you, baby for helping me get
to a place in my heart where we all strive to be. I love you like I never knew I could love... and damn fine vocals on here too, ha ha X
To the listeners, the believers and my loyal fans. I owe you everything and l hope I make you proud with what I have created. Thank you for all your support over
the years, its been one hell of a ride and it aint over yet.
Enjoy
