James 1:2-12 (NIV)

2 Consider

it pure joy, my brothers and

sisters, whenever you face trials of
3
many kinds, because you know that
the testing of your faith produces
perseverance. 4 Let perseverance
finish its work so that you may be
mature and complete, not lacking
anything.

James 1:5-8
5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask

God, who gives generously to all without

finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But
when you ask, you must believe and not
doubt, because the one who doubts is like a
wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the
wind. 7 That person should not expect to
receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a
person is double-minded and unstable in all
they do.

James 1:9-11
9 Believers in humble circumstances ought to

take pride in their high position.10 But the

rich should take pride in their humiliation
since they will pass away like a wild
flower. 11 For the sun rises with scorching
heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls
and its beauty is destroyed. In the same
way, the rich will fade away even while they
go about their business.

James 1:12
Blessed is the one who
perseveres under trial because,
having stood the test, that
person will receive the crown of
life that the Lord has promised
to those who love him.

Galatians 5:16

So I say, let the Holy

Spirit guide your lives.
Then you wont be doing
what your sinful nature
craves.

Philippians 3:12-14
12 I

dont mean to say that I have

already achieved these things or
that I have already reached
perfection. But I press on to
possess that perfection for which
Christ Jesus first possessed me.

Philippians 3:13-14
13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have

not achieved it, but I focus on this one

thing: Forgetting the past and looking
forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on
to reach the end of the race and receive
the heavenly prize for which God,
through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

I Corinthians 9:24-27
24 Dont

you realize that in a race

everyone runs, but only one person
gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All
athletes are disciplined in their
training. They do it to win a prize
that will fade away, but we do it for
an eternal prize.

I Corinthians 9:26-27
26 So

I run with purpose in every step.

27
I am not just shadowboxing. I
discipline my body like an athlete,
training it to do what it should.
Otherwise, I fear that after
preaching to others I myself might
be disqualified.

John 19:30
When Jesus had tasted it,
he said, It is
finished! Then he bowed
his head and released his
spirit.

Job 22:21-30
21Submit to God, and you will have peace;

then things will go well for you.

22 Listen to his instructions,
and store them in your heart.
23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be
restored
so clean up your life.
24 If you give up your lust for money
and throw your precious gold into the river,
25 the Almighty himself will be your treasure.
He will be your precious silver!

Job 22:26-30
26 Then

you will take delight in the Almighty

and look up to God.
27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows to him.
28 You will succeed in whatever you choose to do,
and light will shine on the road ahead of you.
29 If people are in trouble and you say, Help them,
God will save them.
30 Even sinners will be rescued;
they will be rescued because your hands are
pure.

Joshua 1:7
7 Be strong and very courageous.
Be careful to obey all the
instructions Moses gave you. Do
not deviate from them, turning
either to the right or to the left.
Then you will be successful in
