Mexican political system


The Mexican political system is defined in the Mexican Constitution of 1917 as
a republican, federal, democratic and representative. Is based in a presidential
sistem in which the Mexican president is the chief of the State and is elected by
plurality vote for a six-year term. Has an independent legislative, executive and
judicial branches.
Democracy is a form of organization that attributed the ownership of the power
to the whole society; the collective decisions are adopted by the people using
mechanisms of direct or indirect participation (Legislative Power).
Although Mexico politic is consider a democracy it is more like a six years
monarchy, ruled by the president, designed as an oligarchy where the people is
in the last level.
It is know that the government posts are assigned by the fourth power, the
ones with money.
The government of the United Mexican States has three branches:
executive, legislative, and judicial:
The executive branch. The President serves a six-year term, may never be reelected, and appoints the 18 cabinet secretaries who run their respective
secretariats or ministries. Legislation must be signed by the President to
become law.
The legislature consists of a Senate and a Chamber of Deputies. The 128
senators serve the same six-year term as the President and cannot be reelected. There are 500 deputies in the Chamber. A party must win at least 2%

of the national vote to get a deputy in the Chamber. They serve three-year
terms and cannot be re-elected.
The judiciary is divided into federal courts and state courts. The federal courts
have jurisdiction over constitutional issues, most civil cases (contracts, labor
issues, banking and commerce) as well as major felonies. State courts handle
murders, divorces and minor felonies. The Supreme Court consists of 26
judges, selected by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

The government of Enrique Pea Nieto, which came to power in December
2012, has been pressing ahead with a new reform agenda. This includes an
overhaul of the taxing system, cuts in government spending, and the
liberalization of certain economic sectors such as energy and
telecommunications.
Mexico is quickly becoming an emerging market heavy-weight. Its economic
output, as measured by Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was $2.143 trillion in
2014. Mexico's 2014 GDP growth rate was 2.4%.
Mexico is the 15th largest exporter in the world, and 78.8% of its exports go to
the United States. More than 90% of Mexico's trade is under 12 free trade
agreements with over 40 countries including.
But where camps investments really matter is in tourism. Tourism is the 4th
source of income in Mexico, representing 8.4 % of GDP. Mexico expect an
increase to 9.4 % of GDP in 2018.
The tourist potential is very high being the 5th Place of Biodiversity, and 10th in
natural sites worldwide. This make Mexico atrative for camping market. Also it
had one of the best tourist satisfaction having a 98% of repetition rate and a
99% of recommendation..

regulations that apply to camp industry
Mexico does not have much regulations concerning camps and camping
because is a new business, and the government has not defined this kind of
companies/places.
The Secretary of Tourism created the Norm NOM-06-TUR-2000 that states the
minimum requirements for security and health to be met by the camps facilities.

Foreign direct investments in Mexico


From January to June 2015, Mexico recorded 13749.7 million dollars FDI
inflows, this amount os 41.3 %higher than the preliminary figure for the same
period of 2014 (9732.5 million dollars).
By country, the main providers of FDI to Mexico were the United States with
6861.4 MDD (49.9%) ; Spain , 1359.6 million dollars (9.9 %) ; Japan, 891.3
million dollars (6.5%) ; Netherlands, 847.8 million dollars (6.2%) ; and France ,
786.3 million dollars (5.7 %) ; and Australia , 620 million dollars (4.5%), other
62 countries contributed 2383.4 million dollars, equivalent to the remaining
17.3%.
