My life in three dishes

Have you ever wanted to get away from a place because it seemed that you would be there
forever, or wanted to stay forever in a place? To begin it is necessary to know that I have always
liked to eat. I think that its one of the more important things in our life, thats why I love to taste
new and different food, and when I eat new dishes I feel the flavor of the place, of the culture that
the dish come from. I feel that food make us who we are, the kind of food we eat, or the kind of
food we like. And I will talk you about three dishes that if they didnt change my life, they are
experiences I will never forget, and will be always in my life.
The first dish that I will mention occurred ten years ago at a friends house, pimiento
relleno. It was the first time that I ate out of home, and I was very excited because it was also the
first time I slept out of my house, but this dinner was not as good at it should be. There was the
smell of some strange flowers and low light that illuminated the room. The dish was sweet pepper
with some meat, vegetables and mushroom inside, also some mustard on it. The first bite was the
worst, it was like eating some meaty and sweaty jelly () , so I decided to eat it as fast as possible,
but it was a really bad idea, my friends mom thought that I love the dish, and she gave me more. It
was unpalatable, and I couldnt say no. It was horrible for me, but funny for my friend because
some minutes before we went to dinner I told him about the only dish I didnt like, and Guess
what it was.
The second dish was a bit different. We, my family and me, were at my uncles house. We
were doing a reunion after some years, and we (well, the adults) decided to eat some crab and do a
Cangrejada, but I it wasnt enough for me and I decide to eat some powder milk with the crab, and
for me, it was delicious, but while the rest of the family was eating outside at the garden, that

bizarre mix I made kept me in the bathroom for a long time. I will never do this kind of experiment
again, but I have to admit that it was delicious, and I will never regret.
The last dish was something really special for me, not only because of it spicy and
flavorsome taste, and its aroma. It became really special because of the ambience, the music, the
people and the sounds. A friend told me to come with him to his parents restaurant(, frienship)
to take some things for the high-school, but he decided to lunch there with me, and , well, he was
Moroccan and it was a Moroccan restaurant with almost all, Arabian people. There were some
people smoking hookah, and I will never forget that apple smell. And the dish, I ate Durum, a
Persian dish which delicious, and I drank a Moroccan tea which also was appetizing. I will never
forget that experience with that Arabian music, the people speaking in Arabian, and all around me
in that moment.
In conclusion I can determine that those three dishes will keep forever in my memories,
beginning with that horrible pimiento relleno in a weird ambience, second that bizarre mixture I
did, and finishing with that delicious dish in that amazing restaurant with new food, people, and
music that were new for me, and it was very pleasant and relaxing. With those experiences in my
life now I know that a dish can stay forever with us, as a memory that we would like or not to
repeat.
