Why Bhutan?

SEEDS OF HAPPINESS
A TRAINING PROGRAM IN BHUTAN

A Farmers Happy Story

Much to the dismay of the officials of the
Ministry of Agriculture, Singye, a Bhutanese farmer who won the award for the
highest production of paddy in the double cropping competition did not participate the following year. The award and
the excess yield had not inspired Singye.
I realize that I am happier with producing just enough to sustain my family. Life
is simpler without the excess yields. I had
to worry about space and storage as both
rodents and neighbors wanted a share of
my harvest. What lessons can we draw
from Singyes story?

Challenge of our times

We are living in an age of paradox where we have more medicines but less healthiness,
steep profits but shallow relationships. Seeds of Happiness creates a rare experience of
time and space for you to contemplate and reflect so that you gain new insights and meanings and attain a more balanced and a harmonious way of living your life. The contemplative
exercise and meditation penetrate deeper into understanding the self and help finding an
answer to the question, what is my next step in life?

Today, when the world seems engulfed

in waves of devastating materialism and
spiritual discontent, Bhutan has become
a gateway and a place of sanctuary for
individuals seeking to find an answer
to this modern malaise. Nestled at the
foothills of the Himalayas, with its fortresses, monasteries and stupas perched
on the hillocks and the prayer flags fluttering against the wind, the Kingdom of
Bhutan appears still wrapped in mystery, magic and mysticism from ancient
times. Seeds of Happiness simply harnesses these serene mystical settings to
recreate an experience exotic and
extraordinary for you to re-discover
yourself.
