Candidates Statements of Qualifications

Important! The following section may not contain a statement for each candidate. A
complete list of candidates appears on the sample ballot included in this pamphlet.
Each candidates statement in this pamphlet is submitted by the candidate and is printed
at the candidates expense. Each candidates statement is printed exactly as submitted.

Where do I find candidates campaign finance reports?

Campaign financial disclosure statements filed by local candidates in Inyo County can be
obtained from the Inyo County Elections Department. Please call 760-878-0224 for more
information.
If the office that the candidate is running for covers territory outside of Inyo County,
disclosure statements may also be obtained from the elections office where the
candidate originally filed their paperwork.
To receive information about state candidates, donors and lobbyists, you may call the
Secretary of State Office at (916) 653-6224 or visit their website

Expenditure Limitations: State Legislative Candidates

Proposition 34 was passed by voters in November 2000. The law requires county
election officials to provide the names of those State Legislative candidates who
have voluntarily agreed to expenditure limits. Candidates who agree to the
expenditure limits may submit and pay for a Candidates Statement of Qualifications
to be printed in this pamphlet.
The following State Legislative candidates, listed in alphabetical order, have
accepted the voluntary expenditure limitations pursuant to Proposition 34:

U.S. REPRESENTATIVE, 8TH DISTRICT

TIM DONNELLY

PAUL COOK

Education and Qualifications: Im NOT a politician. Im a Patriot--Exactly

what we need since the Government, which was formed to secure our
natural rights, has become the greatest threat to them.

Occupation: United States Representative

California is in serious trouble, and our Federal Government has made things
worse by infringing our gun rights; grabbing our land and undermining
the rule of law, instead of securing our border, keeping illegal aliens and
terrorists out.
Too many have died at the hands of those who shouldnt be in our country
whether they are radical Islamists or criminal illegal aliens. I would never
have voted to allow 300,000 more potential terrorists into the country
after the San Bernardino terrorist attackwhile failing to restore pension
payments for millions of active duty and retired military personnel.
If elected, I will work to:
Defund Sanctuary Cities. Keep Faith with our Veterans, Reform the VA.
Abolish the IRS and the Fed.
End Common Core, Restore Local Control. Respect & Defend our 2nd
Amendment.
Repeal ObamaCare. Oppose Medical Coercion. Secure Private Property
Rights, Oppose EPA, BLM Land Grabs. Oppose all new Taxes, Fees,
Entitlements and Expansions of Government. Period.
Endorsed by Real People, not Politicians! Learn more: DonnellyForCongress.

Education and Qualifications: When I joined the Marine Corps to fight in

the Vietnam War, I did so to protect our American values and ideals. After
two Purple Hearts and 26 years of service, I continue this effort as your
representative in Congress. I humbly ask for your support as I defend the
interests of our rural communities and those of the American people.
In Congress, Ive fought against efforts by the federal government to restrict
our access to public lands, and I authored a bill to protect the historic Alabama
Hills. In addition, I voted to increase federal funding for fire protection and
eliminate bureaucratic barriers to solving Californias water shortage.
As your representative, Ill continue to support policies that strengthen our
national security. I opposed the flawed Iran Nuclear Deal because the Iranian
government is the largest state-sponsor of terror in the world, and Ive fought
to sanction North Korea for its nuclear and missile programs. After the terror
attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, I voted to close loopholes in the visa
process that make it easier for terrorists to enter our country.
I pledge to advocate for policies that promote domestic job creation and
grow the American economy, which is why I support the construction of the
Keystone XL pipeline and oppose job-killing over-regulation.
Im honored to have the support of Inyo County Supervisors Matt Kingsley
and Rick Pucci and Sheriff Bill Lutze for my candidacy.
