ATTEND AN CE AND PUNCTU ALI T Y

Objective:
Every employee in the Company has an important role in ensuring the smooth and
efficient flow of daily business activities. Employees are therefore, expected to be at work,
on time on each business day. The rules on attendance and punctuality have been framed to
ensure better work place practices.

Hours of Work:
1. Employees observing a

six day work week will follow a nine

hour

daily

schedule.

The office timings for employees in a general shift are from 9:30 am to 7.00 pm, with
a half an hour lunch break.
2. Company notified holidays are off days and will apply to all group employees
except those on notified shifts.

Tracking Attendance:
1. It is mandatory for all employees to sign the attendance register as soon as they enter

the

office premises and again before going home or on field, else their attendance for the day
will not be recorded and hence the individual will be marked absent for the day.
2. The representative of each department will assist HR with all Leave and Attendance
clarifications for their respective teams.
3. All employees traveling on work who are unable to report to office to mark their attendance
are expected to send a mail/or call to HR after obtaining appropriate approvals
from their supervisors. This may be done post reporting in to work, in the absence
of which they will be marked absent for the day.
4. All leaves must be applied for in advance and an approval must be obtained
supervisor through the HR, however it is recognized that

from

the

certain exigencies may not

allow this, in all such cases it is expected that the employee would within 48 hours of
returning to work complete the required formalities.
5. Disciplinary actions may be initiated against the employees who have been reporting in
late to work on frequent basis.

LEAVE PO LI CY

OBJECTIVE
After a tenure of Continuous Working all employees require a break and also for timely
intermittent genuine needs like sickness, personal exigencies necessitating the employee
to be away from work.
ANNUAL LEAVE
1.

CASUAL LEAVES

10 Per Year

2.

SICK LEAVES

10 Per Year

3.

EARNED LEAVES

15 Per Year

FOR EMPLOYEES / CONSULTANTS / APPRENTICE


All employees/consultants are entitled to the following leaves during the course of the year from
1st January to 31st December.
1. PRIVILEGE LEAVE (PL)/ EARNED LEAVE
Employees/Consultants are entitled to 15 days of privilege leave in a year and remain fixed
for every year.
Sundays (or the weekly rest day) and holidays falling before or after the PL shall not be
counted as PL..
The intervening Sundays (weekly rest days) and holidays shall be counted as PL.
Employees can encash a maximum of 15 days of PL at one time. Encashment shall be done
on the basis of basic salary only.
Money received against the encashed PL shall be taxable as per the Income Tax laws
applicable.
PL would be accumulated over & above up to a maximum 45 days.
Supervisor/HODs make sure their subordinates must avail minimum of 7 day PL in a year.
Earned leave cannot be availed off more than 3times in calendar year.
SICK LEAVE (SL)

Employees/Consultants are entitled to a maximum of 10 days of Sick leave per year. These
leaves need to be utilized with in one year and will not be carried forward to the next
calendar year.

Sick leave cannot be clubbed with any other leaves and will lapse at the end of the calendar
year.

CASUAL LEAVE
Employees/Consultants are entitled to 10 days of Casual leave. These leaves have to be
utilized with in one year and will not be carried forward to the next calendar year.
In exceptional circumstances causal leave will not be granted for more than three days at a
time.
Any absence of more than the number of days allowed for causal leave shall, when not due
to sickness, be treated as unauthorized absence from duty.
Unavailed casual leave will lapse at the end of the calendar year.

Note:
1. Leave shall not be granted to an employee who is under suspension or who the

management is considering for termination.


2. All Apprentices are entitled to 12 CL & 15 SL during their Apprenticeship. Apprentices

are not entitled to any PL.


3. Clubbing of leave between PL and CL or CL and SL is not permitted.
4. 50% of the Earned Leave accumulated in the employees account will be En-cashable. The

encashment can be done once in a calendar year any time during employees continuous
service.
5. In a normal circumstance, no leave can be availed during the period of probation.

However, in case there are valid reasons requiring employee to be on leave on account of
personal exigencies or sickness, the same may be sanctioned on pro rata basis by the
concerned supervisor.
6. Employee/Consultant/Apprentice is supposed to apply for leave through application form

as per companys Leave Application Form ONLY.


7. Any person who is out of office for more than 4 hours in a day for any personal work, it

will be considered present only for half day.
