Clubhouse Newsletter

Night at the Museum!!

The club members decided to go to the
Arab American National Museum for
social night! Hannah took upon herself to
interview a couple of the members who
attended the social night event. She asked
what was your favorite thing you saw
there? Mark replied Danny Thomas is
Arabic, and he is the founder of Saint
Judes hospital. Hussein one of the
members was asked the same question,
and his reply was Danny Thomas is an
actor he liked the fact that the middle
eastern immigrants got to become
American citizens. They were then asked
if they had a good time? Mark said it was
fun, I had a great time. Hussein said it
was great and I loved it. They were both
asked if they had anything to eat there?
but both replied no. It was a great
experience and we the club members
would like to visit there again.

What we offer
here at the
Clubhouse!
Our clubhouse is unique for
many reasons. Here we make
new friends, and is a friendly
safe atmosphere. We are
encouraged to work together as
a team, and help one another
with our future goals. This is a
no judgement zone and we are
all one in the same. We offer
English classes on Tuesday ,
and Lumosity program used to
better our cognitive area. We
engage all in our work order
day that helps us develop
purpose. We have a
community garden, in which
we all work to help grow fresh
vegetables.

ACCESS Clubhouse provides transportation to and from

each members place of residency. We are very flexible in
our hours. For example, if a club member has an
appointment that day we can pick up at a later time. Our
normal hours for the morning pick-up are as follows:
Monday-Friday from 8:00 A.M to 9:00 A.M respectively
Our normal drop-off hour is as follows:
Monday-Friday 5:00 P.M (closing time) respectively.

Busy, busy with our units!

Business/Clerical

Kitchen/Maintenance

In our unit we prepare lunch. Each member in this unit has their own task.
In our unit we all work together in creating a Some of our tasks include:

We also are a great maintenance team who do a wonderful job at keeping our

We are a great team working side-by-side
with the maintenance team as a whole in
keeping the clubhouse clean and organized.
You can count on us in helping you with
your own resume, as well as creating your
own email.

We not only work with just our unit, but with the business/clerical unit as well.
Some things that we would like to do is birthday cakes for each members
birthday. Our unit does not throw away food scraps, because we make our own

Hope is crucial for a happy and Godly life. Hope is a promise, a goal, a plane, a
desire, and leads to ones many successes. Here is a story of how hope helped
me, Hannah, overcome my battles. Learning how to fight my own battles
means that I have to take my weaknesses and make them stronger. I did not
know how to do that until I found a way to persevere. I kept pushing myself
and kept my spirt growing until I became the person I am today, is helping
others whiling helping myself, because I know that every person has a role
model, even the role models themselves do.
