SECTION A (10 marks)

Read the following text. Then, answer question 1 - 10.

Puan Airina is a 56 year old lady who owns a successful

satay business. She said that she learnt everything about these
savoury sticks from her mother-in-law; how to make the peanut
sauce and how to taste and season the meat. Along the way,
she has improved the peanut sauce recipe a little by mixing
large and small groundnuts for better texture. She said that she
is careful in maintaining the standards to ensure consistent
taste and only uses good quality meat.
She and her husband started the business in Taman Yarl, in
suburb in Kuala Lumpur. Then, they moved to Tasik Shopping
Centre. Now, she has opened a restaurant in Ampang.
Her beginning was a modest one. She only had a small
start-up capital, enough to buy daily supply of 6 chickens and 6
kg of beef to make around 200 to 300 sticks of satay. These
days, she sells an average of 1500 sticks a night and more on
weekends. She enjoys her work as she has met many people
and made
many friends, including dignitaries and VIPS. She
has even catered for the Sultan Selangor at the
palace.
