Last week firstly we mentioned about submodalities which means that

how we remember something in the past. Through senses ,auditory, visual ? the
teacher asked how we remeber our firsT englİsh teacher. My answer was
immediately ready . I remembered him with my senses because I hated him
very much actually still I hate him . because of him AT THAT TİME I swearED
that I woul d never become an english teacher. But then when I came to high
school I changed my opinion. In the third class the teacher made me like english
and I chose english department . what infered from that the teacher had an
important role on the students’ making choice in thier career. Thus ın the future I
would do best to make the students enjoy my lesson. As our teacher says” ıf
there is a laugh, there is a hope for learning there ”

Secondly we talked about anchoring which means changing you mind

positively when you feel bad. When I FEEL BAD I immedately remember my
sister’s tone of voice. Her advices and her tone of voice always make me feel
calm and relaxed.

Sensory acuity is smt that what we can infer from the sudents’ non verbal
messages. For example ıf the sudents finish his task and wants the teacher to
check it, he may raise his hand without saying anything so the teacher can
understand easily that this sudent has completed his task.

Perceptual positions is that how we look up t he issues, problems from the

different perspectives. For example there is a problem between two people . one
of them justifies himself according to his own view and the other one tells the
problem according to his own view and the observer makes a decision who is
right in that problem . the teacher wanted us to think about the problem we have
had with another person . then he mentioned about his problem with another
person . when he was a teacher in golbaşı , he left the exam papres in the calls
and one of his students looked at the questions and called out their answers to
his friends. He told this problem according to his view point and the student’s
viewpoint and an observer he decided that he shouldn’t have left the paper at
class. I think it is a good way to solve our problem with other people. Before we
decide that we are surely right, it helps us to contemplate where we have done
wrong in that problem. Thus I will never forget the teacher’ example.

Rapport means maximising similarites nad minimising the differences. It is

a good way for the teacher to communicate with the sudents easily . ıt promotes
a good relationship between teacher and a student.

Modelling is probably t he most important issue for the teacher . the

sudents always need to model somebody generally ıt is the teacher that they
model. Especially at primary school they give importance to the techer rather
than to the parents. I see several teachers as a model. I can say that I will be like
him or her when I become a teacher.
Renaming means that we can change the name of smt whose original
name makes the students feel anxious . for example if the name of homework
disturbs the students we can change it in a fuuny way.

Lastly we talked about teaching pronounciation. I wasnt taught deliberately

pronouciation but at high schol in the second class our teacher corrected our
pronounicetion mistakes and sometimes showed phonetics of some specific
vocabulary. In the firts class our teacher was horrible, he didn’ t know anything
about the pronounciation. In the lesson I learnt how to correct our
pronounciation. In thelesson we brainstormed about it . the most logical one is
recording our speaking than listening to it. In this way we can see easily see our
mistakes and correct t hem.
