Culture is the beliefs, customs, and the
arts of a particular society, group, place
or time. A nation culture resides in the
hearts and in the soul of its people.
What about our culture?
Malaysia is a multi-racial country, a land
of
many
colourful
festivals
and
celebrations. We are blessed with multi
languages, we can say selamat pagi,
osonong kosuabon, zhao shang hao,
kaalai vannakam and good morning. All
celebrate the big day at different times
of the year. With vibrant festivals,
traditional dances, and drama.
A cultural melting pot! A unique heritage
of different races and culture.

behaviour patterns , skills, institutions
and all other products of the modern
people.

Facebook! Facebook! Facebook! Im
addicted to facebook! Welcome to
facebook, the worlds latest addiction.
Blogging is now becoming a trend.
I have a blog,
I have a blog too!
We all have blogs!
Hey, even our politicians have blogs.
The internet cannot be neglected in the
modern culture..

Errmmm..what happen if we do? It will

be like leaving your sword behind a
battle.
Culture is the name for what people are
interested in, their thoughts, their
models, the book they read and the
speeches they hear, their table-talk,
gossip, controversies.. and the values
they appreciate and the quality of life
they admire.

All communities have culture, it is the

climate of their civilization.
Look at Afghanistan, people die by the
hour,
Look at Egypt, people live in fear,
Look at our neighbour, Thailand, civil
unrest making life difficult.

True, we are not perfect. We have our

own problems, but I assure you parents
and teachers, your sons and your
daughters can go to school every day
safely. By all standard, we are still very
safe and for that we are forever grateful,
for our culture is the best among
cultures.
We look forward thinking Malaysian, to
meet the challenges of globalisation.
Together as one nation, one voice and
one spirit.
We share and enjoy the prosperity in a
land blessed with rich cultural heritage
that other countries can only envy,
because we are one, 1 Malaysia.
Thank you.
