The following are links to mathematics web sites that can be used by both students and parents. These
sites will help review all mathematics topics found on the New York State math assessments, as well
as help with classroom and home assignments and individual student review.

II. Sites for Students
1. AAA Math:
AAA is a great web site divided up by main topic areas; there are 29 main topics. Within each topic are
several additional links to subtopics related to the main topic. When you click on each link it takes you
to an interactive quiz on that topic.

2. Mathguide:
This is a dynamic and global mathematics resource center available to students, parents, teachers and
those who have inquisitive minds.

3. Math League Help Topics:
This web site is also divided up into 11 topic areas. Under each topic area there are subtopics. When
you click on these links it takes you to an informative page explaining, in detail, the topic and giving
several examples. This web site is very informative.

4. Math Forum:
This web site is broken up into forum features which are: Ask Dr Math, Discussion Groups, Forum
Showcase, Internet Newsletter, Math Tools, Problems of the Week, Teacher Exchange,
Teacher2Teacher, and an Internet Math Library. There are also links to Math resources by subject,
math education, and key issues in math. Each of these links leads to subtopics. This is a large web site
with a lot of useful information.

5. A+ Math:
This Web site is designed to help students improve their math skill in an interactive way. There are
links titled game room, flashcards, homework helper, and worksheets. There are several math
concepts involved to help students. This Web site is great interactive site.

6. Go Math:
Go Math is an on-line mathematics tutor designed to assist students from K-12, and their parents. It
contains worksheets, interactive quizzes, interactive tutorials, games, and lessons. This is site also
contains a link to ask for math help for grades K-12 and receive an answer within 24 hours. This is also
a great interactive Web site with help for everyone.

7. Glencoe Math-Parent & Student Study Guide:
This web site allows you to utilize the interactive material aligned with a Glencoe textbook. Just look
up the book and follow the appropriate links. When you click on each chapter it opens up into all
subtopics of the chapter. Clicking on these links takes you directly to worksheets that are written so
that you do not have to be a mathematician to help your child. The worksheets contain information on
the topic and a several examples that the student can try. There is also an answer key for all chapter
questions. These worksheets are in a Adobe Acrobat Reader form which allows you to print them out.
It also has a link to install Adobe Acrobat Reader incase you do not have that installed already on your
computer. This Web site also has links to games, online study tools, and activities.

8. Math.com -The World of Math Online:
This Web site is broken up into homework help, practice; ask an expert, calculators & tools, games,
and store. There are links to every math topic. Under each topic there are 4 sections. The first section
is called 1st Glance and contains an overview of the topic. The second section is called In Depth
and contains more detailed information about the topic. The third is called Examples and gives
examples with answers. The last section is called Worksheet and contains an interactive quiz. This
Web site is also a great site to go to for review math concepts in an interactive
way.

9. Education Planet:
This is an enormous web site that contains links to every mathematics topic. Each topic contains links
to Web sites under that that topic. It also contains top educational Web sites for parents, teachers, and
students. This web site contains a lot of information in mathematics and in every subject area.

10. Dositey.com:
This Website contains math topics under the grades 5-8. There are printable worksheets and answers,
interactive games, interactive puzzles, word problems, lessons, and more. This Website is great for
more review and fun dealing with mathematics concepts.

11. A Math Dictionary for Kids:
This Web site contains an interactive dictionary for students, which explains over 500 common
mathematical terms in simple language. When you click on a word you will get a definition of the word
and an interactive example that helps the student understand the word. This is a great web site to help
students understand all mathematical vocabulary.

12. Regents Preparation Centers for Exams:
For those accelerated students, this site offers review material and practice question aligned with the
NYS regent examinations; great for those accelerated 8th grade students.

4. The Behavior Reporter:
This website allows students and teachers to create a customized behavior report card. Students or
teachers can fill out this report card each day and then the scores can be compiled into a weekly
and/or monthly report. This card helps students be responsible for his or her behavior and has worked
very well with several students in my school.

5. Parent Resource Center at GreatSchools.net
This website includes information on individual schools and tips for a successful parent-teacher
