Required Educational Documents for an IQAS Assessment

Official Documents and Originals

You should include with your application all your official transcripts (mark sheets) with the official
diplomas/degrees/certificates awarded. You must provide original documents and also a photocopy of those
documents. In an event that IQAS only receives certified copies of the documents, a note will be made on the
assessment to indicate that certified copies were presented. IQAS will not accept photocopies only. If you
cannot provide original or certified copies of your educational documents, your file will be cancelled.
Certified/Notarized Copies
If you choose to submit certified copies of your official educational documents, IQAS will only accept those
certified or notarized by official bodies such as: Notary Public, the awarding Educational Institution and
Commissioner for Oaths.
Original Language and English Translations
All official educational documents submitted must be in the official language of the country where they were
issued. IQAS requires credible English translations for all official educational documents issued in another
language. In cases where the official language of the country is not English but the specific institution attended
issued only English documents, then you may submit those with an explanation.
Proof of Name
You need to submit proof of name change for identity verification purposes (a copy of a government issued
identity document, for example passport). If your name is not currently the same as the name on your
educational documents, you must provide a copy of an official Proof of Name record that links the former name
(s) with the current one (s). Examples of Proof of Name records are: Marriage Certificate, Passport, Record of
Landing (Permanent Residency Card).
Educational Institution Assessments and Specialized Assessments
If you are applying for an Educational Institution Assessment, IQAS requires original and/or certified
transcripts/mark sheets with the subjects you took and the grades you received.
If you are applying for a Specialized Assessment, IQAS requires original and/or certified transcripts that show
all the courses you studied in a program with the credits or hours for each. In an event that the original
transcript does not indicate credits or hours for each course, you may submit with it an official syllabus from the
educational institution for the program studied. The syllabus must be for the exact program taken and for the
year it was taken in.
Awarding Bodies
IQAS only evaluates official educational documents awarded by accredited/recognized educational institutions.
Professional/Vocational Credentials
IQAS only evaluates credentials earned through formal academic training. IQAS does not accept short-term
professional courses or other non-formal, non-academic credentials. IQAS will not evaluate or include these
types of credentials in the IQAS assessment.

Required Educational Documents for an IQAS Assessment

Please ensure that you submit all your educational documents with your application. To
assist you in preparing your application package for submission, refer to the IQAS
Application Checklist for the required educational documents needed for an IQAS
assessment, as well as the table below. If there are missing documents with your
application package, it will delay the assessment process and/or lead to a partial
assessment or cancelation.
