involved in development of their various Customer Servicing applications)

The Discover Card is a credit card, issued primarily in the United States. It is the third
largest credit card brand in the United States, with nearly 61 million cardholders.
My involvement in this project included development and support of their three customer
service application, namely ORION, ICE and EICE. All these three applications were java
based application with the backend designed in Mainframe and Oracle DB. I was responsible
for handling both the front-end and back-end of the applications
Primary Responsibilities:
Analysis of Business requirements.
Preparing Technical Specifications from the functional requirements and business
requirements.
Discussion with onshore analyst about any clarification and estimations.
Impact Analysis of the proposed solutions.
Involved in Development of software to cater the business requirements.
Involved in creation of Implementation plan and test plans.
Preparing Unit Test Cases and capturing Unit Test Results.
Providing Production Suppport for these designed systems and real time bug fixes.

--- Designed a CICS-COBOL application related to grant of loan to the customers

(Done as a part of training program in Capgemini India Private Limited)

This project involved design of two CICS screens(Application and Payments). The
Application screen received information of the customer, calculated the maximum amount of
loan that can be granted to him and then calculate the EMI that he has to pay based on the
loan taken and the period in which he will return that amount. The Payments screen provides
the option whether the customer wants to pay in cash or cheque and updates the amount the
customer pays in the database.

PROJECT EXPERIENCE

Design of transceiver for uncoordinated frequency hopping spread spectrum using code
shift keying for underwater communication

The first phase of the project involved analysis and simulated design of a transceiver for
novel communication technique called uncoordinated frequency hopping spread spectrum
using code shift keying. The second phase involved actual hardware design for a such a
transceiver.
