Global Strategic Marketing Plan for Apple Spy Spectacles and Apple Safety Car

Identify two new products and services that the company can sell or offer to a global
market
Apple stands is American multinational company involved in manufacturing, designing,
and selling personal computers, digital music players that are portable, mobile communication
devices, media communication devices, and software alongside the other services and
application. The new products that the company can begin offering include Apple Spy Spectacles
and the Apple Car. Since Apple products and services are considered to be unique and of high
quality, the new products will find demand in the market. The unique features of the products
and services of the Apple make it preferred by many consumers (Apple Inc., 2014).
Apple Spy spectacle can be integrated with Apple iOS to process the images and recorded
any dangers. Such spectacles will likely to increase security and gather intelligent information
about situations and high risk places. The product is likely to find application in security
companies assigned to VIPs as well as assist in fighting global crimes while its aids in crime
scene investigations. The spectacle may look like normal sunglasses to avoid any suspicion.
Voice recording and storage can also be embedded to the spectacles. The data collected can be
relayed to the monitoring center in real time and necessary action taken to arrest the criminals.
Another new product that Apple Inc. can launch is Apple car. The car can be electric and
programmed using iOS to be intelligent enough to avoid some accident. Some of the accidents
are caused due to drivers negligence like sleeping and incompetence. The Apple car can offer
video tutorials to the driver on the necessary steps on avoiding accidents while driving. The car
can also monitor the drivers mental functioning and alarm him in case he falls asleep. The car
can also give weather real time weather update thus advising the driver to take necessary routes

that are safer. Traffic jam update can also be embedded on the cars operation to ensure that the
driver takes best routes that will save time and fuel.
Three different methods used to determine that there is both need as well as an existing
global market for these product
One of the methods used to determine the need for the products is the available industry
information. There has been growing need of spy tools to aid in fighting crime and gather
intelligent information. Some of the existing spy tools have been surpassed by technological
development and cannot relay real time data in control centers. Using people to gather
information makes the information subject to change since they many not report one by word or
they may not give graphic data. Besides photography is not allowed in some areas. This makes
the spy spectacles a better toll for gathering information
Another method is the consumer close-up. After conducting market research and
gathering survey data from consumers, there is dire need for high technology cars with
embedded intelligent system with can assist in navigation and reducing the number of accidents.
Every sector and individuals are ready to invest in safety cars and thus there is already existing
market for Apple cars.
Finally, the competition close-up can also be used to determine whether the new product
is needed and has already existing market. Due to the completion is the car and security industry,
there is dire need for intelligent spy spectacles and safety cars in order to meet consumers
demand. Manufacturers of safety cars are guaranteed higher sales. Spy spectacles manufacturers
are likely to experience increased sales since the product is highly demanded in their respective
market.

Provision of Apple spy spectacles and Apple safety cars is likely to promote Apple brand
and thus the company gain the competitive advantage of innovation and creativity. The
sophisticated technology that Apple will explore in making the new products will take the
company a long way in outsmarting its competitors. The production of the two items is likely to
improve the sale of its products and it may even gain the larger market share in car
manufacturing or spy security investigation (Khan, Alam, & Alam, 2015).
The new products by Apple Inc. are also associated with various risks. The two risk
Apple is likely to face are (a). Legal battle involving patents and (b) stiff competition of
established manufacturers. There are companies that have patented the production of spy tools
for instance the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Apple Inc. is likely to face legal battle from FBI
for infringing into their rights for production of security spying tools. Second established car
manufacturers like Toyota can provide stiff competition to Apple safety car by improving their
car safety and navigation technology as well.
Apple can minimize the risk by patenting the technologies embedded in their new
products. For example, real data transmission in the spy spectacles can only operate on Apple
iOS platform and anybody producing such a tool must first seek permission from the company.
The company can also minimize the risk of competition by collaborating with established car
manufacturer so that the company can only embed their safety tools in already manufactured car.

The current state of customer relationship management is not good. The organization has
been relying on traditional measures of tracking sales of its products in the organization. The
traditional measures of performance evaluation are not effective in tracking sales and customer
demands for the new products offered by Apple. The technology-based solution would be
appropriate as it offers a platform for tracking sales and customer request in the organization.
The technology would also make it easy to develop performance reports, which relates to the
specific employees and the teams in the organization (BambooHR, 2016).
BambooHR software is the customer relationship management (CRM) software system
that provides solutions in the dealing customer relationship and request. BambooHR is
accommodated for customer relationship. The Bamboo HR program ensures success as it stores
all customer request and ranks the request from the most important to the least important.
(Budhwar & Debrah, 2013). Using Bamboo HR program, customer data is secured and can be
accessed in different locations within a second. Also, the customer will be able to assess reply to
their demand. Therefore, the BambooHR software is useful and appropriate in promoting the
success of the customer relationship the organizations.
BambooHR is one of the most recognized vendors of HRIS software to diverse clients in
the world today. The company can address the specific customer complaints issues facing the
organization through its integrated HRIS program. For instance, the vendor states the importance
of limiting the use of paperwork and thus focusing on the people. Some of the reasons for
selecting the vendor includes that BambooHR is highly reliable as they have strong customer
support team which offers improved customer experience (Armstrong & Taylor, 2014).

BambooHR offers different services including the customer database, HRMS program,
HRIS program, customer tracking system, and customer onboarding and performance
management. Most importantly, the software has a transparent and supportive platform, which is
more proactive in assisting diverse clients (BambooHR, 2016). The vendors applications are
also updated and modern with integrated features to fit in any HR system. Therefore, the HR
applications offered by BambooHR are effective in supporting improved HR productivity and
performance. The software can be used remotely to manage several customers virtually. This is
likely to reduce the traveling expenses and significantly reduce the cost of responding to
customer demands.
From a strategic point of view, BambooHR can offer quality programs for conducting
efficient customer tracking, sales tracking and response to inquiries. The program can lower the
costs involved in conducting traditional customer tracking within the organization. This would
assist the organization in taking advantage of the flexibility of the HRIS programs to train and
assess the performance of their employees (Budhwar & Debrah, 2013). Having a productive staff
and work personnel is one of the most important elements of strategic performance and growth
of the business. Thus, the technology of BambooHR will assist in motivating and ensuring that
the employees are focused on their performance within the organization. Such improvements in
performance evaluation will give the business a high strategic advantage, which enhances
performance and productivity. Generally, BambooHR will offer a sense of direction regarding
performance evaluation, which would support long-term productivity and focus in the business.

Distribution of technology has come a long way with the advent of the internet. Apple
Company can utilize their e-commerce site to advertise the Spy spectacles and the Apple safety
cars. Internet would be a better distribution channel since the company would receive orders
from across the world, process the order and deliver the item by trusted distributors (Apple,
2015).
The company may not restrict itself to selling the two products via its e-commerce site
alone but they can also sell their products through major online retail stores, and they do not limit
their retail store partners to just technology based stores. Stores like Best Buy, Radio Shack, and
other technology retailors. They also use multipurpose retail stores such as Wal-Mart, Target,
Toys-R-Us, and Sams Club. They use each of these different stores to target different groups of
people based on their shopping needs. By using the each of these different types of stores and
distributors they have also ensured to reach every age group of the population.
One of the most important key considerations that Apple Inc. can use in
entering a global market is the regional trade alliances. Apple can form trade alliance with
Toyota U.S so that they can improve the sale of their technology cars. Toyota has good brand and
thus trade alliance with a company with better brand like Apple will ensure increased sales for
the products that benefit both companies. Apple Inc. can also agree with FBI so that the company
runs their intelligent spy spectacles on their operating system.
Long global supply chain is likely to negatively impact the sale of the two new products.
The two new products needs demonstrations on their functionalities to the final customers and
thus long supply chain ensures that consumers are likely to miss the demo. This will render the
products less useful since users lack proper training on how to use them

Discuss a major pricing strategy aligned to your products and service's position within the
overall market strategy of the global marketplace.
The main pricing strategy that Apple Inc. will use for the two products is competition
based strategy. Currently there are companies producing spy spectacles such as FBI and those
providing safety cars such as Google Inc. In order to survive the competition, Apple will
therefore make the price of the two products in the range of the existing products. This will
attract more sales particularly when the products have slightly lower prices than the existing
products.
According to Perreault, Cannon, & McCarthy (2011), there are three basic objectives to
consider a firm will consider when creating its pricing strategy. These objectives are profit, sales,
and status quo oriented. Apple considers the competition pricing strategy. To be profit oriented,
Apple seeks to maximize their profit by continuously innovating and offering products
consumers demand such as spy spectacles with innovation and safety car that meets consumer
demands. Also, due to increased capabilities created by advancement in technology and product
innovation, Apple and their competitors can reduce prices and lower product margins, therefore,
can expand the market resulting in increased sales and profit. (Nielson, 2014).
The development cost and the cost of launching the new products are important since
they determine the overall price of the product in comparison to the competitors cost. He cost
involved in the development include; the cost of lens for the spectacles, the frame, the hidden
camera, the storage device in the camera and the operating system that relays the data in real
time to the control center. For the safety car, GPS devices is necessary, embedded chips are also

necessary and will cost the company. Launching cost comprises cost for advertisement and cost
for paying product promoters and marketers.
The consumer acceptance price is dependent on the price at which competitors are
already offering similar product in the market. With high technology that the two products will
offer, the consumer acceptance price will be slighter higher than the current competitors price
since the products will offer additional services which are not currently available.
Currently spy spectacles are sold at range of $350$399 by other producers. With this
competitors price, Apple can slightly increase it price to be in the range of $450-$499. This will
still retain customers since Apple has better brand and thus its products are trusted to deliver
quality services to consumers
Discuss the promotional strategy you will use to promote your products and services in a
global market.
Event Marketing
Event marketing is the process of creating a themed presentation that promotes what you
are trying to sell. These events can be online, offline, participated in, hosted, and sponsored.
Marketing is about building relationships and earning the consumers trust ("Marketo Event
Marketing", 2015). When using event marketing, the consumer has an opportunity to test out the
good or service. When a person watches a presentation on the ease of using a good or service,
they begin to feel comfortable with the item. It is crucial that the event makes a lasting impact
on the consumer to create a sense of need for the product. The main reasons event marketing
should be used is because it builds awareness of not only the product but the brand as well, it
generates leads, it gives you a chance to interact with the consumers and potentially upsell, and it

is a great chance to educate the citizens on the product. Some examples of online events are
webinars, virtual events, and live streaming events. Offline events include tradeshows,
conferences, a seminar, food meetings like breakfast, lunch, or dinner ("Marketo Event
Marketing", 2015).
Digital Marketing
One of the best ways for Apple to market in this advanced world is through digital
marketing. It is important to know the rules, however. The ICC Code has many rules that have
been applied to marketing with interactive digital media. With the online behavioral advertising,
information about the consumers online activity can help tailor specific advertisements to each
and every individual. The ICC says that there must be clear options for consumers to choose not
to have their information or data collected for marketing. Through social media marketing,
people can share the product with their friends and family as well as write reviews or even
directly purchase the product. The ICC states that there should be clear messages explaining that
social media is strictly commercial and under full control of the marketer. Search marketing
refers to the first few items that pop up once an item is entered into a search engine. This is
usually the first few items that a consumer clicks on so they are the first to get attention. Email
marketing fills our spam folder and inbox with advertisements that usually end up being thrown
away because they are either too good to be true or not worth your time.
Two most important social media that can used in promoting the two products is
Facebook and WhatsApp messenger. Facebook site offers good platform and is accessible to
wide variety of users worldwide. Apple can post the products in their Facebook page describing
their functionalities, their prices and where to access the products. WhatsApp messeager also

offers better product promotion platform. Apple can post photos of the Spy spectacles and the
safety car, describe their specifications, price and where users can buy the products. This is likrly
to improve the sales
