Kernels put three on MWL West All-Star squad

Luis Arraez and LaMonte Wade selected as starters
Cedar Rapids, IA The Midwest League announced the rosters for the 52nd MWL All-Star Game,
presented by GO Cedar Rapids, scheduled for June 21st at Perfect Game Field, and the Cedar Rapids
Kernels had two starters and one reserve selected to the team. The All-Stars were nominated and
selected by the field managers of the 16 Midwest League teams.
Luis Arraez was selected as the starting second baseman and LaMonte Wade was named a starting
outfielder for the MWL West squad. Pitcher Sam Clay was selected as a reserve.
South Bend had four players selected as starters for the MWL East while Wisconsin had three starters
named to the MWL West team. Wisconsin had the most players selected with eight (three starters,
five reserves) while Bowling Green and South Bend had the most from the Eastern Division with six.
The Kernels will provide the coaching staff for the MWL West team and the West Michigan field
staff will coach the MWL East team.

by calling the Kernels Ticket Office at (319) 896-7560 or online at www.kernels.com. Ticket office
hours are 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, and 10 AM to 2 PM on Saturday.

MIDWEST LEAGUE ANNOUNCES 2016 ALL-STAR ROSTERS
South Bend, IN (6/7/16) --- Richard A. Nussbaum II, President of the
Midwest League of Professional Baseball Clubs, Inc., is pleased to
announce the 2016 All-Star Game Rosters. The All-Stars were nominated
and selected by the Field Managers of the Midwest League. The Cedar
Rapids Kernels are hosting the 52th MWL All-Star Classic on June 21,
2016 at Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium, Cedar Rapids,
Iowa.
