System models and the Decision Support System model management system. The user
interface management component allows you to communicate with the Decision Support
System. It consists of the user interface management system. This is the component that
allows you to combine your know-how with the storage and processing capabilities of the
computer. The knowledge management component, like that in an expert system,

collection of data in support of management's decision making process. Characteristics
are Subject, Oriented, Integrated, Nonvolatile, and Time Variant. Benefits are-A data
warehouse provides a common data model for all data of interest regardless of the data's
source. Prior to loading data into the data warehouse, inconsistencies are identified and
resolved. This greatly simplifies reporting and analysis. Information in the data
warehouse is under the control of data warehouse users so that, even if the source system
data is purged over time, the information in the warehouse can be stored safely for
extended periods of time. Because they are separate from operational systems, data
warehouses provide retrieval of data without slowing down operational systems. Data
warehouses can work in conjunction with and, hence, enhance the value of operational
business applications, notably customer relationship management (CRM) systems. Data
warehouses facilitate decision support system applications such as trend reports.

A computer network is a set of computers connected together for the purpose of sharing

data storage and printers. LANs can be built with relatively inexpensive hardware, such as
hubs, network adapters and Ethernet cables. A wide area network, or WAN, occupies a very
large area, such as an entire country or the entire world. A WAN can contain multiple smaller
networks, such as LANs or MANs. The Internet is the best-known example of a public WAN.
Metropolitan area network, or MAN, consists of a computer network across an entire city,
college campus or small region. A MAN is larger than a LAN, which is typically limited to a
single building or site. Depending on the configuration, this type of network can cover an area
from several miles to tens of miles. A MAN is often used to connect several LANs together to
form a bigger network. When this type of network is specifically designed for a college
campus, it is sometimes referred to as a campus area network, or CAN.
The term can also be used as part of an action; to "perform I/O" is to perform
an input or output operation. I/O devices are used by a human (or other system) to
communicate with a computer. For instance, a keyboard or mouse is an input device for a
computer, while monitors and printers are output devices.
A HRIS, which is also known as a human resource information system or human
resource management system (HRMS), is basically an intersection of human resources and
information technology through HR software. This allows HR activities and processes to occur
electronically. A marketing information system (MIS) is a set of procedures and methods
