look at the photo and elicit a description. T
encourages SS to participate in this exercise.
Then T tells SS they are going to listen to a
conversation between the man and the boy.
They listen for general understanding and to
find the answer to the questions.
After listening once, T asks SS which part of
the festival Colin enjoyed most. (The end of
the last day.)

phrases. Ss listen again to check their

of the phrases, as well as the words.

T plays the CD and invites SS to listen to
part of a dialogue, and they must choose the
most appropriate responses. SS listen and
answer individually.
T plays the CD again and elicits the answers.

from the past on the board and asks SS what
they think all these events have in common.
