Well Script 1
Introduction
?? To demonstrate the (Hydraulic) Fracture modelling capabilities of PIPESIM.
?? Model used
o Hydraulic Fractured Oil well with Black Oil fluid description.
?? Workflow:
o Explain the GUI setup completion NA point, tubing.
o Show the Hydraulic Fracture IPR input screen.
o Show the tubing description input screens.
o Show the PVT data.
o Run the Nodal Analysis operation.
?? This workflow demo does not attempt to build a case from scratch. To build a case study from scratch the training course material should
be followed.
Assumptions
?? PIPESIM 2000 v1.35 has been installed into the default directory on C:
?? The case study file Frac Well Script.bps is available.

The NA position in this case is

bottom hole denoted by the NA
point in the model.
Note the outlet pressure. Inflow
sensitivity set to fracture half
length.
No outflow sensitivity.
Note the intersection points of
inflow & outflow curves.

Not much improvement between

fracture half length of 30m and
60m.
Data is saved by ok

Model is not saved so that next time

the above changes can be made.
