Summary
Through my educational, professional, and athletic experiences I have cultivated an understanding
for a wide range of lifestyles, cultures, and perspectives different from those with which I was
raised. I am a proficient communicator, skills which I derive from a background at a liberal arts
university and a diverse high school. In addition, my leadership skills have been improved by
means of my roles on athletic teams, indicated by having been voted into leadership positions in
football and track respectively. I am able to compel myself to perform at a high level, and I harbor a
foundational element of my personality in my willingness to commit my time and talents to a team
as I have done for the better part of 23 years. I learn quickly what my role entails, how to best
satisfy the expectations placed on me, and am competitive to the point of continually finding areas
in which I can improve my productivity.

Overall development of communication skills ranging from face-to-face, isolated events of
interacting with people in general to electronically mediated forms of communication of phone and
email. Analyzing perspectives of communication systems from micro to macro scale: Family to
Corporate. Proficient at scanning documents for specific forms of rhetorical components,
understanding multiple perspectives, and decrypting messages stated both implicitly and explicitly.

Managed transmission of orders from front of house to kitchen, overseeing completion of ticketed
orders and keeping track of inventory. Frequent customer relations via telephone, email, and in
person, in addition to managing on-site supplier relations. Cultivated flexibility and adaptiveness,
filling in where needs would arise in the form of serving, making orders, and delivering orders.

Assisted on site work with Master Electricians for two consecutive summers at the beginning of my
college years. Managed day-to-day small tasks of moving gear, assembling small equipment,
completing tasks to aid the on-site electrician.

Hobbies & Interests

I enjoy any sort of activities involving being outdoors, whether they are leisure-based like golf, or
more athletically competitive like basketball. I find that these can be a great way to develop
relationships under a different context as people are likely to be more open and relaxed when away
from their professional or academic settings. I also enjoy having conversations and developing
relationships with other people, ultimately seeking to find what can be learned about the other
through mutual sharing of expiences.
