INSTRUCTIONS

Thank you for your interest to serve the IE student community!


Please read the next pages carefully to familiarize yourself with the job
descriptions, qualifications and requirements of the PIIE-NSC Core
Team position/s you are applying for.
Below are the general instructions:
1. The
applicants
must

(i.e.

before July 10, 2016. The requirements are as follows:

Other requirements indicated on the position description.
Follow the format of the file names of your requirements. App
Form/Resume Position Applying for Surname (i.e., App
Form_AVP for Communications_Cruz, Resume_AVP for
Communications_ Cruz).
Applicants may have up to two choices of positions. In that case,
the applicant must fill out two forms. Indicated on the body of
your e-mail message your first choice and second choice.
2. Applicants must then wait for notification regarding the
interview with a member of PIIE-NSC Executive Board. The
interview might be done via phone, so make sure to provide
correct contact details.
3. Announcement of successful applicants will be announced
online and through SMS on July 13, 2016. Please note that
incomplete application packages will not be considered.

ABOUT THE PIIE NSC CORE TEAM

The Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers National Student


Chapter (PIIE-NSC) has stayed true to its commitment to promote
intellectual, social, cultural and physical development of the
Industrial Engineering students across the country. Its strong
commitment to students holistic development is evident with great
support to various student activities and programs.
Looking at the perspective of extending and strengthening the
support being given to the IE student community, the PIIE-NSC is
now once again in the process of admitting new members of Core
Team for this Academic Year 2016-2017. It is also the PIIE-NSCs
way of preparing the future leaders of the organization in continuing
the legacy to unite and serve the industrial engineering student
body, student members and member organizations.

The PIIE-NSC Executive Board

ACADEMICS AND RESEARCH


Asst. Vice President for Academics and Research
Job descriptions:
Assist the VP for Academics and Research in handling projects
Represents the VP for Academics and Research in his/her absence
Acts as the PIIE-NSC Support Group Online Moderator that will aid in
answering academic queries from PIIE-NSC members and give advices on IE
related problems
Qualification:
Must be incoming fourth/fifth year student (or at least have taken major
courses)

Director for Curricular Activities (2)


Job descriptions:
Responsible for the preparation of quiz contest and research competition
details
Responsible for researching for IE Trivias to be posted.
Qualification:
Must know how to organize events and has the ability to strictly implement
rules and regulations of the activities assigned to him/her

Director for Seminars (2)


Job description:
Responsible in helping the team in conducting seminars and trainings of
PIIE-NSC
Qualification:
Must know how to organize events and should be creative enough in
thinking of ways to answer the needs of the IE community. Conducting
seminars and training for PIIE-NSC members.

ACTIVITIES
Asst. Vice President for Activities
Job descriptions:
Helps the VP in facilitating the Directors

Represents the VP for Activities in his absence

Assures the success of each activity from planning to execution

Checks activity plans, proposals and reports

Director for Activities (4)


Job descriptions:
Assures the success of each activity from planning to execution

Prepares activity proposals, plans and reports

Helps in simulating and facilitating every activity

Requirement:

Sample Activity Plan if existing PIIE-NSC activity

Qualifications:
Knows how to organize and facilitate activities

Responsible and dedicated to assigned tasks

Must be responsive to text and online messages

DOCUMENTATIONS
Asst. Vice President for Documentations
Job descriptions:

Assists the VP for Documentations in framing the constitution and in processing


the PIIE-NSCs institutionalization

Works with the VP for Documentations in constructing standard documents for


the organization

Represents the VP for Documentations in his absence

In-charge of the over-all Google Drive of the documentation committee

In-charge of coordinating all matters within the PIIE Core

Director for External Affairs (3)


Job descriptions:
Deals with all external documentation matters

In-charge of taking down minutes of the meeting of the coordination meetings,


also in-charge in time keeping during meetings

Photojournalist, documents event ( may coordinate with event organizers so as


to gather volunteer photojournalist) Director for PIIE Newsletters

Coordinates with Communications Committee with regards to messages to


and/or from the IE community

Prepares event summaries/activity reports

Must handle the accounts of the Documentation Team (Tumblr, etc.)

Director for Internal Affairs (2)


Job descriptions:

Deals with all internal documentation matters (e.g. membership)

Tracks all paper works within the PIIE Core group

In charge of taking down minutes of the meeting of the Executive Board, also
in-charge of time keeping during meetings

Prepares all other aspects of agenda, other than subject matters

FINANCE
Asst. Vice President for Finance
Job descriptions:

Provides leadership, coordination of organizational financial planning, and


budget management functions

Assists the VP for Finance in establishing short and long-range goal, objectives,
policies, and operating procedures for the organization

Represent the VP for Finance in her absence

Director for Accounting


Job descriptions:

Ensures organization accounting procedure and reporting conform to generally


accepted accounting principles

Coordinates financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural


improvements

Qualifications:

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles

Ability to finalize financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and
projections

Additional Requirement:
Sample financial report of any PIIE existing event

Director for Income Generation


Job descriptions:
Responsible for any fund raising activities of the organization

In-charge in communicating with producers for PIIE merchandise

Additional Requirement:
Sample fund raising activity proposal

MARKETING
Asst. Vice President for Marketing
Job descriptions:
Aids the VP for Marketing in leading and managing the directors

Nurtures and motivate the directors to acquire more sponsors

Make sure that the PIIE-NSC Marketing Database is updated

Keeps tract of the status of the communication directors with the companies

Responsible for updating the PIIE-NSC Marketing Letter

Director for Marketing (6)


Job descriptions:
In-charge in communicating with the companies

Gather solicitations and support from target companies (Year-long and Activity
Specific)

Promotes the activities of PIIE to companies for possible sponsorships and


partnerships

Updates the AVP and VP for all the current status of communications with the
company (i.e., e-mail sent/approved/rejected etc.)

Make sure that the requests of the sponsoring or partner companies are met
(i.e., Memorandum of Agreement, documentations during events, etc.)

Requirement (for AVP and Directors):


Must be willing to learn and improve

Must have good interpersonal skills

Must know teamwork is the key to achieve the goal

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English

Must be committed to the job

Must be very persistent

Must be willing to sacrifice time and money to contact companies

COMMUNICATIONS
Asst. Vice President for Communications
Job descriptions:
Represents the VP for Communications in his absence

Assists the VP for Communications in handling directors and communication


works (i.e., communicating with school ambassadors, updating and running the
page, enforcing committee protocols and creating materials, etc.)

Qualifications:

Should have a stable and internet connection, at least five (5) days a week

Willing to shoulder mobile expenses, responsive to text messages

Should be proficient in photo and/or video editing tools and softwares

Director for Communications (2)


Job descriptions:

Send out invitations and announcements (online and sms) to member schools

Relay queries of the member schools to the VP for communications

Maintain PIIE-NSCs online presence

Qualifications:

Should have a stable and internet connection, at least five (5) days a week

Willing to shoulder mobile expenses, responsive to text messages

Knowledgeable on online collaborative tools

Proficient in using social networking sites

Proficient in using the English language, can come up with the eye-catching
captions for publicity materials

COMMUNICATIONS
Director for Creatives (2)
Job descriptions:
Create posters and videos coherent to this years theme

Help the documentation committee in creating simple layout for the newsletter

Qualifications:
Proficient in photo and video editing tools and softwares

Can do diverse designs (i.e., minimalist and clean, loud and colorful, etc. depending
on event)

Can work fast and under pressure with quality outputs

Responsive to online and text messages, has a stable internet connection

Knowledgeable in cloud storage services
