The Tarrance Group is pleased to present Justin Fareed for Congress with the findings from a telephone
survey of N=350 registered voters with an oversample of 50 registered Decline to State in Californias
24th Congressional District. A random sample of this type is likely to yield a margin of error of +4.9% in
95 out of 100 cases. Forty-two percent (42%) of the responses were completed on a cell phone. Responses
were gathered July 10-12, 2016.
Justin Fareed is in a highly competitive position for the upcoming November campaign. He is well known
in the area and continues to have a positive image. He is at 78% awareness in the district with 41% who
are favorable and only 23% who are unfavorable.
On the ballot, Justin Fareed currently holds a 2-point advantage, within the margin of error, 46% to 44%.

Also in Justin Fareeds favor is that a plurality of voters in the district (38%) would prefer a
Congressperson who has never held office. Thirty-six percent (36%) are looking for a career elected
office holder.
