Among University Student in Malaysia

PRESENTED BY: CHONG CHEW CHEN (1122702795)

Introduction
Technology has play an important role in expanding access
to education.

The knowledge is being transfer only if the instructor and

student are interact in the classroom (traditional classroom
learning).
Due to technology development today, online learning allow
students access to the course content easily at their own pace.
(less communication)

Introduction (Cont.)
Blended learning - improve the learning experience.
Blended learning enables student to figure out the complexity of
the concept through online learning and provide class discussion
to explain the complexities of the lesson.
Therefore, this research explores the factors that affect the
acceptance of blended learning among university student in
Malaysia.

Research Problem

The latest version of Malaysia Education Blueprint (2013-2025)

launched by our Prime Minister Dato Sri Mohammad Najib;
blended learning models will become an educational approach in
all Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs).

Increases of attention towards blended learning in higher

education.

There are many research has been done on the acceptance of

online learning but little research on blended learning. (Park, 2009)
It

is important to figure out the factors affecting student

acceptance of blended learning.

Research Questions
1. Is there any relationship between perceived usefulness
and acceptance of blended learning among university
student?
2. Is there any relationship between perceived ease of use
and acceptance of blended learning among university
student?
3. Is there any relationship between perceived enjoyment
and acceptance of blended learning among university
student?

Research Objective
To examine the factors that influence the acceptance
of blended learning among university student.

Research Methodology

Research Framework

H1: There is a significance relationship between perceived

usefulness and the acceptance of blended learning among
university students.
H2: There is a significance relationship between perceived ease
of use and the acceptance of blended learning among university
students.
H3: There is a significance relationship between perceived
enjoyment and the acceptance of blended learning among
university students.

Sampling Plan
Sample Size : 250 respondents

Target respondents : University student

Sampling Method : Non-probability Sample
(Convenient Sampling)
: Survey with Questionnaire

Limitation of Study
Sample:

The scope of this survey is limited only to Malacca and Kuala

Lumpur. (Generalization of result)
Research Framework

Only used three factors to test on the students acceptance of blended

learning.
Research objective only examine the perception of university student.
Time Constrain

Cross-sectional research (study the blended learning in Malaysian

education industry at a particular of time only)

Recommendations For Future Research

Recommendations for the research framework, add more
independent variables to test on the factors affecting the
acceptance of blended learning (Stacey & Gerbic, 2008)
Enlarge the scope of survey or focus on other universities
Future research should consider a longitudinal studies (can be
repeated and conducted for several years) (Jahangir & Begum, 2008)
