One of them was Chow the leader for the teams, have to work many type of
job to support the family. For example Chow works with his girlfriend at
funfair and also in a office. He almost quit his football game and concentrate
more to his job to lighten his single mother burden.

takes over. Chow Kwok Keong try to shapen up his team even they didnt
had their coach to lead them to a right position. When Ali shares the news to
his teammates that they were boycotte, at first they were disasapointed and

Team work

The turning point for the team work came when new coach Harry Mountain
take over to lead the team. He did a new reformation to the team which
everyone is unsatisfied with his idea. At this time Eric who was a
goalkeeper, were become as a striker. One scene in particular was when Ali
refused to pass the ball to his fellow striker, Eric despite Eric being in a
better position to score. This is because Ali thought he was better than than
Eric. This value started when coach brought the whole team to the military
training, where they were shown the importance of team work. This had
changed the players mindset and they started to believe that teamwork does
triumph individual brilliance.
Practice makes perfect
Day and night, rain or shine they play football with vengeance. Even if they
get injured also they continue to play the match. For example Ali were
injured during the friendly match but he decide to continue the game. This
brought out country immense pride during the 1980s. This shows their
passion for their match and not for fame. Moreover, the goalkeeper, Muthu
practiced untillate night to shapen his skill and he never give up.
