What a father means to me:

A father is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with
pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail. Without words, I know that hes my
father, and he is irreplaceable. Club members were asked what a father means to them?
By: Hannah. Z
Abeer: A father is nice, helps kids with what they are doing, and they are nice dads.
Hussein: Everyone likes their father. For example, people give gifts like birthday gifts to their father.
Mark: A father is a best friend. Mark loves his dad.
Daad: A father is a very important person for his own family, to his children, hes a helper, and takes
care of the family. Her father does good work at home and at work away from home.

Did you know?

Abeer not only helps clean and is friendly to newcomers, but she puts in her helpful words to be kind.

Gail shares her time with people, even though she does not know them, but for me shes my television
buddy.

Daad comes to the clubhouse to help out with cleaning and also she knows the ins and outs of the
Clubhouse. Daad can be counted on to care for her buddies at the Clubhouse.

Our Hope House Garden

The garden provides food for families. Thats what is beneficial
to have people supporting , giving and taking away or to
from the garden. The more support, the more vegetables, and
beautiful flowers for eating or for beautiful scenery.

Here are some before

pictures of the garden.

After Pictures
The members, and staff here at the Hope House have worked very hard
on the garden, as well as our beautiful flowers. The time that members and
staff spent on such a beautiful site was well worth it. As you can see the
picture on the right (second one) is an extension to our vegetable garden.
The members are growing food for the Clubhouse and families in need in
our community, through a grant project.

Thoughts of the Garden

Hussein: Vegetable, tomatoes, and everything are nice to look at in the garden. Hussein likes to water the garden because it is good.
Mark: The Garden is beautiful.
Kevin: The garden is nice. The colors and how the garden blooms are nice.
Debra: More flowers and bushes will make the property look more beautiful. The garden is nice because the members
are growing natural food.
Gail: Its beautiful because there are flowers. Gail can not wait to eat the vegetables from the garden.
Hanan: Hanan wants to water the plants from the garden.
Daad: Garden is nice. Daad thinks we should plant more tomatoes and watermelons. She said that the garden takes
time to grow.

Hannahs insight on happiness

Some people, or in fact all people, want to be happy. The fact that some people do not
find happiness in their daily life exists in our lifetime. One with instability can find happiness, but with stigma, this becomes harder. There are factors that can cause a person to believe unhappiness can unfold into the world. This does not help now a days
with instability, because the population is now increasing. To find happiness, you must
find peace on the inside.
