WHAT IS THE MEANING OF INDEPENDENCE
DAY?
Independence Day, also known as the 4th of
July, is a Federal holiday declaring the 13 colonies a
new nation, The United States of America and no
longer part of the British Empire in 1776.

Independence Day, or 4th of July, is celebrated all over the United States, enjoying the day off from
work for most, with parades, picnics, fireworks barbeques, etc.

HEALTHY WRAPS FOR LUNCH OR DINNER

You will need: one boneless, skinless chicken breast, bottle of Ranch salad dressing, shredded
Mexican cheese, shredded lettuce, thinly sliced cucumber, soft, flat wraps whole wheat, spinach, etc.
Bake chicken in oven at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes. Chicken should shred when you cut it.
Place wrap on microwave safe plate. Spread 1 tablespoon ranch dressing on wrap. Put, to your liking
amount of cheese down the middle of wrap remembering you will be folding this wrap when done. Put
chicken pieces on top of cheese, again, down the middle of the wrap, cover with a paper towel and place in
microwave for 30 seconds or until cheese is melted, Should not take more than 45 seconds. Remove from
microwave, remove paper towel. Put shredded cheese down middle of wrap and place cucumber slices on
top of lettuce. Fold wrap from bottom first, then fold sides overlapping bottom of wrap.

so difficult. Find a friend, sister or brother to help you with your outdoor garden. Plant vegetables or

Our Hope House Garden Update!!!

The members, and staff here at the Hope House have worked
very hard on the garden. The time that members and staff
spent on such a beautiful site was well worth it. The members
are growing food for the Clubhouse and families in need in
our community, through a grant project, and we have plenty to
pick now.
