When utility power is present, Control Board will control SCR switch of R phase and perform soft start procedure
b.
Until BUS voltage reaches its target level, then open SCR switches of S and T phase
C. When utility power is not present, you still can power up UPS by Battery Start function
a.
Battery provides the necessary power, CPU controls the battery SCR to act
b.
D. PFC driver circuit boosts the BUS voltage up to 200VDC(AC mode) or Battery voltage(Back-up mode)
E. Provide BUS voltage and current protection
F. Deliver the value of utility power voltage to Control Board
G. Detect voltage of R phase. When it is larger than 75V, generating a signal to Control Board to trigger CPU
H. Supply DC voltage(12VDC) to fan
Working Theory
When utility power is present and normal:
A. VB(UA31 pin1 and pin7 become HIGH) will triggers CPU
B. CPU delivers Power on signal to start auxiliary power of A Board
C. If utility power is larger than 96V, trigger SCR of R phase from 0 to 90, DC BUS performs soft start. DC BUS voltage is
utility power voltage times 2
D. CPU delivers PFC ON signal(UA22 pin8 becomes HIGH), DC BUS will raise to working voltage level
When utility power is not present or abnormal:
A. CPU delivers Battery Soft Start HIGH signal
B. Battery sets charge the BUS via SCRA1RA180 and RA181
C. When the BUS voltage reaches half of the battery voltage, CPU delivers Battery SCR HIGH signal
D. Battery sets charge the BUS via SCR4 to battery voltage
E. CPU delivers PFC ON signal(UA22 pin8 becomes HIGH), DC BUS will raise to working voltage level
24
2. 3CH-MMain control
Introduction
A. Auxiliary power is from Charger Board or battery
B. 3CH-M can not work without 3CH-P(CPU Board)
CPU pin assignment is as Fig 7-1
C. Interconnect control circuit between each PCB
D. Provide Inverter driver and current protection circuit
E. Provide static switch driver and control circuit
F. Detect output voltage, current, frequency and watts
G. Detect utility and bypass power frequency and perform Phase-Lock between output and bypass
H. In the Hot Standby Mode, provide power to bypass(V3) and static switch driver circuit
Working Theory
A. When the BUS voltage gets ready, CPU will receive a signal and then start the Inverter
B. Depend on the voltage of EEPROM and utility power frequency, CPU drives Inverter to normal output voltage
C. After confirming the Inverter is normal, UPS will transfer from Bypass mode into Inverter mode
