1. Should Marijuana Be Legalized?

Marijuana is claimed by a group of doctors as an effective cure for some illnesses like
insomnia, obesity, HIV, panic disorder, thyroiditis, etc. Therefore, some countries such as the
Netherlands, Spain and some states in USA have legalized marijuana for medical options and
other necessary purposes. However, in Thailand, marijuana is illegal for both medical and
recreational use. Do you agree with legalizing marijuana in Thailand? Why or why not?
2. Abortion is accepted in some countries because it is believed that it gives women choices
over their bodies and lives, while in some part of the world abortion is illegal and
unacceptable because people think it simply kills a person who can have a better life in the
future. Do you agree with legal abortion? Why?
3. Some people say that being honest is the most important factor in any relationship. Some
say that sometimes, hiding the truth helps a relationship. Which do you think is better and
why?
4. Many people around the world use social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram,
and Twitter and Pinterest. The number of these users tends to increase more and more.
However, there are some pros and cons of using such sites. Do you agree that these social
networking sites are good for our society? Why or why not?
5. Under Thai law, the minimum drinking age is 20. Some thinks that this law can stop teen at
ages less than 18 from drinking. Other argues that this law has not stopped teen drinking, and
has instead pushed underage binge drinking into private and less controlled environments,
leading to more health and life-endangering behavior. Do you agree with allowing 18-year
old to drink alcohols in environments with supervision would decrease unsafe drinking
activity?
6. In Thailand, clicking Likes or Sharing on the Facebook posts; especially a sensitive
topic; might be considered as a crime. Do you agree or disagree with this way of socialmedia control? Explain your reasons and some examples.
7. There are a number of incidents weve seen recently to support the notion one law for the
rich and another for the poor. For instance, the Red Bull heir drove his Ferrari recklessly
and crashed into a police officer where he died on the scene. The ultra-wealthy man escaped
unpunished. Do you believe that Rich people are able to escape punishments when they
commit crime while poor people are harshly punished? Give reasons to support your ideas.
8. Nowadays Korea plays a very important role in Thailand pertaining to its culture, society,
and investment. Korean culture is greatly popular for Thai teenagers. There is the popularity of Korean
stars, food, goods, and products which can be seen in the Thai society at the present time. Do
you agree with the popularity of Korean culture of Thai teenagers? Why or why not?
