There are several reasons why DNA isolation is wanted by scientists.

Diagnosing genetic causes of diseases, creation of needed materials,
determining paternity, and forensic use are all reasons why DNA isolation is
important.
To begin with, diagnosing genetic diseases is one reason why Scientists
would want to isolate DNA. The ability to diagnose genetic diseases is
positive to humans. With the ability, we are able to see what diseases we
have a risk of developing that are hereditary within a family's bloodline.
Knowing a possibly inherited disease is important. Tests and examinations,
can occur to see if an individual has a specific disease. If a disorder is
present, steps can possibly be taken to treat the disease. For example,
breast cancer can be inherited. If an individual is aware that breast cancer is
common within one's family, tests can be taken to ensure that the individual
has not developed breast cancer. If the cancer is present, noticing it during
the cancer's early stages can increase the success rate of treatment.
Diagnosing genetic diseases supports why DNA isolation is wanted by
scientists.
Secondly, the creation of needed materials such as vaccines, are
another reason why DNA isolation is important. Some materials such as,
Insulin can be created by recombinant DNA which requires DNA isolation.
Creation of such materials is important to the lively hoods of some people.
For most diabetics, they are unable to produce a sufficient amount of insulin.
Manufacturing of insulin is required for people who are lacking. Without
insulin shots, hyperglycemia can occur which can severely impact the health
of those suffering from diabetes. The creation of needed materials is one
other reason why DNA isolation is wanted by Scientists.
Furthermore, forensic use is another reason why DNA isolation is
important. Many criminal investigation agencies use DNA evidence during
investigations. DNA sources can be obtained by many sources such as blood
or saliva samples. Obtained DNA can be used in investigations. DNA found
within a crime scene can be extracted and isolated. The sample of DNA can
then be compared to a suspect in an investigation to see whose DNA it
belongs to. Use of DNA evidence is important within societies. The evidence
can be used in courts of law. Without DNA evidence, some crimes can go
unpunished due to lack of evidence. Investigations that were never solved
due to DNA evidence not being possible, are now able to be solved due to
DNA isolation. By having DNA evidence crime rate can go down as more

offenders are placed in penitentiaries. Forensic use of DNA is a reason why

scientists would want to isolate DNA.
Finally, recombinant DNA is an additional reason why scientists would
want to isolate DNA. Recombinant DNA has many uses, one of them is used
in agriculture. GMOs are produced by recombinant DNA. GMOs can have
different affects on produced agriculture yet the main characteristics are
prolonged shelf life, cold resistance, and resistance to pests. This can have a
large impact on communities. These characteristics all help create produce
that is in more abundance along with it being more cost effective. As more
produce becomes available, it become more accessible to remote areas and
areas experiencing famines. Recombinant DNA can also be used for the
production of vaccines. Recombinant DNA has the ability to manipulate
bacteria to produce desired genes that aid in the creation of vaccines.
Recombinant DNA is an additional reason why scientists would want to
isolate DNA.
In conclusion, there are several reasons why scientists would isolate
DNA. Diagnosing genetic diseases, creation of needed materials, forensic
use, and recombinant DNA are all reasons why scientist would want DNA
isolation.
