was webcast on PBAs Xtra
Frame, he won the day before his
58th birthday and looked and
bowled as he did during his early
days on tour. I thought back to an
interview I did with him many
years ago. He had been a good
bowler and an Army brat when
his family moved around often.
He said that he was a typical rebellious teenager and joined the US
Army in rebellion to living at
home. He was stationed in
Germany and found out about the
bundisliga or traveling bowling
league. He averaged in the 190s at
the time which was considered
golden overseas. He traveled
around Europe with the league,

Concrete Softwares PBA Bowling Challenge Mobile game is asking fans to vote on what new Product Registered balls they would like
to see introduced into the game. This week fans can vote on the Ebonite
ball theyd like to see added to the PBA Bowling Challenge. To take the

ball based on fan input is selected, it will be available along with a code
to purchase the ball for 50% off (the code will only be available on the
specific companies social media pages). Each company also will have
a flashback weekend where all its previous balls will be available for

Reminder: Tickets are now on sale for all five PBA Fall Swing television finals which will be contested Sept. 10-11 in the historic
Thunderbowl Lanes arena in Allen Park, Mich. To order tickets, visit
pba.com/tickets. Tickets are $30 for each full day, or $20 for each individual event. CBS Sports Network telecasts of the PBAs Fall Swing
events will begin on Wed., Sept. 21, at 9 p.m. ET and continue over five
consecutive Wednesdays, concluding on Oct. 19.
