AREND Award: Industry 4.0

Competition:
AREND, supported by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Trier, is organizing a symposium on
the topic Industry 4.0 at June 16th 2016. We are looking for outstanding student contributions (e.g.
bachelor thesis, master thesis, project study) around the topic Industry 4.0 to be awarded at the
symposium.
Your profile:
You recently wrote a relevant contribution in the field of Industry 4.0 and you are or you has been a
student in one the following disciplines: electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science or
information systems, mathematics or economic sciences.
Suitable contributions from other disciplines are also accepted.
The price:
prices for the winners amount to 7.000 to the best three submissions
(first place: 4.000 , second place: 2.000 , third place: 1.000 )
personal contacts with decision-makers from industry and science
presentation of your final paper at AREND symposium is mandatory
Selection criteria:
high relevance and practical usefulness for companies, particularly for small- and mid-size
companies
scientific foundation and quality the submitted contribution
innovation, creativity and interdisciplinary nature
The Jury:
The jury of the AREND award Industry 4.0 consists of experts from industry and academia. On basis
of the contributions submitted, the jury chooses the best three submissions. Additional special prizes
can be awarded for individual topics
