FOREWORD
Theprovisionsunderthissectionareintendedtosupplementgener
al
requirements
forthematerials,equipmentsandservicescoveredunder
other
sections of tender documents and is not exclusive. However,
in case of conflict between the requirements specified in this
section and requirements specified under other sections, the
requirements specified under respective sections shall hold
good.
GENERAL REQUIREMENT

Thebiddersshallsubmitthetechnicalrequirements,dataandinf
ormation as per the technical data sheets provided in the
Volume II of bid documents.

ItisrecognizedthattheContractormayh
avestandardizedontheuseof
certain
components,materials,processesorproceduresdifferentfrom
thosespecified
herein.
Alternateproposalsofferingsimilarequi
pment
based
on
themanufacturersstandardpracticewillalsobeconsidered
provided such
proposals meet the specified designs,
standard
and
performancerequirementsandareacceptabletothePurchasers.
Unless brought out clearly, the Bidder shall be deemed to
conform
to
this
specificationscrupulously.Alldeviationsfromthe
specificationshallbe clearly brought out in the respective
schedule
of
deviations.
Any
discrepancybetweenthespecificationandthecataloguesorthebid
,ifnot clearly brought out in the specific requisite schedule,
will not be consideredasvaliddeviation.
2.4
Exceptforlightingfixtures,whereveramaterialorarticleisspecifi
edor
definedbythe

nameofaparticularbrand,ManufacturerorVendor,the specific
name mentioned shall be understood as establishing type,
functionandqualityandnotaslimitingcompetition.Forlightingfix

STANDARDS
3.1
Theworkscoveredbythespecificationshallbedesigned,enginee
red, manufactured, built, tested and commissioned in
accordance with the Acts, Rules, Laws and Regulations of
India, including CEA & grid code regulations, Indian
Electricity rules, CBIP guidelines etc. Drawings shall
specifically mention the rules applied during design /
Engineering.

Theequipmenttobefurnishedunderthisspecificationshallconf
ormto latest issue with all amendments (as on the date of bid
