Literacy
In year 1 we will be following the Read Write Inc
scheme.
Alongside this the children will be looking at the
story The Snail and the Whale and will be
creating different styles of writing based on the
book.
What you can do
Encourage children to practise sounds as much
as possible.
Provide children with as many opportunities as
possible to write. Keeping a diary, writing
shopping lists and stories are just some ideas.
