Know all men by these presents that we Robert Parks and Polly Parks of Troy Oakland County
Michigan Territory in consideration of Two hundred and forty Dollars to us paid by Samuel W. Harding
of the same place the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge do by these presents give grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said Samuel W. Harding his heirs and assigns a certain parcel of Land
situate in the above named Township of Troy County of Oakland Territory of Michigan bounded and
described as follows viz Being a part of Section seventeen in Township two North Range Eleven
East Beginning at a point bearing South 1 degree 15 minutes East distance of Ten chains from
North East corner of Land owned by Michael Pearsall Running South one degree fifteen minutes
East thirty one chains and Eight Links Thence North Eighty nine degrees thirty one minutes East
20 chains Forty two Links Thence North one degree Twenty four minutes West thirty one chains
and Thirty nine Links thence West parallel with North line of said section twenty chains and Thirty
one Links to the place of beginning containing Sixty three and fifty Eight hundreths [sic] acres to
be the same more or less

Together with all the privileges and appurtenances to the said land in any wise appertaining and
Belonging. To have and To hold the above granted premises to the said Samuel W. Harding his heirs
and assigns to his & their use and behoof forever. And we the said Robert and Polly Parks for our heirs
executors and administrators do covenant with the said Samuel W. Harding his heirs and assigns that we
are Lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises that they are free from all incumbrances that we
have good right to sell and convey the same to the said Samuel W. Harding as aforesaid and that we will
and our heirs executors & administrators shall warrant and defend the same to the said Samuel W
Harding his heirs and assigns forever against the Lawful demands of all persons

In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this second day of June in the Year of
our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty one

Oakland County } ss. Be it remembered that on this second day of June in the Year 1831
before the undersigned a Justice of the peace in & for said County came Robert Parks and Polly his wife
to me known to be the persons within described and acknowledged that they executed the within Deed
for the uses and purposes therein mentioned, and the said Polly being by me examined seperate [sic]
and apart from her said Husband acknowledged that she executed the within Deed freely and voluntarily
without any fear or compulsion of him her said husband
