Biblical Worldview Paper

Introduction

In the beginning God made all of creation and it was good. Man, Gods most prized
creation, rebelled and brought sin into the world. This put separation between God and man.
Eventually sin corrupted the earth so much that God planned to flood the earth and destroy all of
creation. However God found favor in one man and because of this spared his family and thus
the human race. Time and time again man has rejected and rebelled against God and God has
forgiven them. He even came down from heaven and dwelt among his creation in the form of
Jesus Christ. He lived a human life and died a painful human death. God cares so much for his
creation that he died for it. Even after his death and resurrection God is still active in his creation.
Body
Genesis 1:27 says So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he
created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27 ESV) This verse does not mean
that man simply looks like God, it implies that God made us to reflect his own characteristics.
God placed man above all other creation. Man has a capacity to love, choose, and have
relationships. Man is different from God because man chooses to sin but God still cares for his
prized creation regardless of sin. The fact that God humbled himself as a man and died for us
shows that he desires an intimate relationship with us. God could have destroyed us. God could
have allowed us to wallow in our own sin. God could have created new perfect beings. But
instead he put himself in his creation to have an intimate relationship with us. God continues to
interact with creation by sending the Holy Spirit who fills us and guides our life. Even today the
Holy Spirit fills the lives of believers and directs them in how they should act.
As a business administration major I hope to become a leader in a business. As a leader I
will be required to constantly communicate and interact with people in order to further the
business. My worldview should be reflected in how I interact with these people. When I
communicate with my coworkers I should show them love and patience as they do their assigned
tasks. Because I believe that God created man in his own image I can honor God by showing
respect and honor to his creation. Because God came and died for man I must believe that all
people are equal in the sight of God, because all people are sinners and Christ died for all out of
love. Therefore I should show love to all people to reflect the love of Jesus. God loved mankind
so much that he became man and a part of his creation in order to save them. As a business
leader I should reflect Gods love in how I interact with people.
Conclusion
Emily Andrews writes, God's immanence is God's goodness, love for creation, and an
ability to draw near in time, space, and history. Immanence means that God is interactive inhis
creation. Because our God is immanent he desires to be a part of his creation. He created us in
his image, giving us attributes that reflect himself. Through these attributes we can know our
creator better and relate to him. We as Christians should live our lives reflecting the desire to

build and be a part of the lives of others. God is active in the world today and will continue to be
a part of his creation.
