WORKSHOP AND PERFORMANCE WITH QUARTIERS

DANSES
A performance will be offered to people living with dementia and their caregivers by the organization Quartiers Danses. The following is a description of the show:
Brought to a breathtaking nature, three characters arrive, transform themselves, evolve and
progress towards someplace else. Bound by a common vision, Katia Gagn, Jeffrey Hall and Lana
Morton present three distinct creations and transpose the loophole of thought onto movement
and images: when the reality of daily life confronts, provokes, causes friction and forces the
axes of the unconscious to topple over. How can a transitional moment be revisited and reread
through the body?
Place des Arts | 175 Sainte-Catherine Street East Free
Friday September 9|8:00 p.m.

* Those who wish to attend the performance are invited to participate in a preparatory
workshop on August 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. This workshop will help participants better
understand the performance and the creative world of the dancers.

MUSIC AND MOVEMENT WORKSHOPS

Ten energizing and inspiring workshops that enable you to express yourself by way of song and
movement! Through a variety of singing exercises, vocalizations, and popular songs, you will
enjoy learning the fundamentals of the instrument that is your voice and awakening your body
with exercises that aim to develop mobility, coordination, and rhythm.
As a group, you will learn three songs which, at the end of the workshop series, you will
perform to an audience at a small concert!
